We as tanzanians will not benefit from the drop in global oil prices. This government n the BoT are only there for their own benefit and nothing else. There is no sense of planning and therefore they are always reactive.

We should not forget donor countries have frozen budget assistance because of ESCROW account thus stifling inflow of forex monies. Many thanks to SINGH,MUHONGO, MASWI, etc we paying the price for your well being

Exactly we r suffering because our top officials have robbed tanzania left right and center. The BoT dont even have enough usd to intervene because these funds were used to faciliate offshore transfers. Thanka Ndulu. Btw tanzanian shilling depreciated to 1715 today-No word from BoT!

Well. Lets agree that the government is bankrupt and so is the Bank of Tanzania. The 4.5 months worth of reserves is a lie! In a healthy economy we wouldnt see such swings in the exchange rate or other prices like interest rates. Our politicans have bankrupted us and today we are paying the price for mismanagement!

You dont get the point. A gradual depreciation is warrant ed because as you stated we import everything and recurrent expenditure is off the roof. BUT the issue is the speed of depreciation! In the space of 1 month the tzs has lost 70 tzs against the dollar! What fundementals have changed? Did we stop exporting and importing twice as much?

Wakichimba madini wanaitwa wavamizi, ziwani wavuvi haramu, mitaani wamachinga, mbugani majangili, wakisoma hakuna ajira, vyuoni kozi non priority na mikopo hakuna, lakini wakivaa nguo za vyama basi hata wakifanya fujo hawakamatwi wala kuulizwa!!!!

Hayo ndio matokeo kati ya mengi, mpaka watu watakapokubali kujitambua wao na kujithamini, siku watakapoacha kusukuma magari ya wanasiasa!!!!

We dont dream of being producers and employ our fellow citizens we dream of going to Thailand or Dubai to bring clothes, shoes and cooking utensils, these are items/products that we could have produced internally.
