Why are they keep on operating the project which exhibits -ve NPV and minimal IRR? It's of absurd to take money from the pocket and dish out the loss making business.

JNIA total perssengers flown by all the airlines.... = 2.5 Million...

KIA total passengers = 1 million ( its actually less than that)

Total JNIA + KIA = 3.5 Million passengers



KQ flies 4.2 Million passengers !!!!!!

Since 2016, KQ stopped performing negativly. .. They actually started to make profit (in terms of revenue - expenditure of its core business) .... But this Operating profit is before tax... When they pay taxes they end up with a loss because the profit is not that high yet ...... So people should stop ringing the doomsday bell.... KQ CEO says they expect to start making net profits in 2 years time...

Kenya Airways Increases Profit

According to the report, the airline achieved an operating profit of Ksh1.3 Billion up form Ksh897 Million the previous year.
Net loss after tax reduced remarkably to Ksh5.97 Billion for the nine months to December 2017 from Ksh10.2 Billion for the 12 months to March 2017.

Anyway nyinyi Maskini hohehahe mnalalamika hapa ila losses za KQ haziwahusu. Meanwhile Real investors in the company are happy the way things are turning around.
