Shock: Raila Odinga is Embarrased in Mozambique and his qualification put to Question

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s mission in Mozambique as UN’s special election observer bumped into torrents on Wednesday after his presence as an election observer was disputed. Speaking on Wednesday, one of Mozambique’s Presidential candidates and former rebel and opposition leader, Mr. Afonso Dhlakama, embarrassed Raila Odinga badly saying he doesn’t qualify to observe any election in the world, least of all being appointed by the UN for the same.


Afonso said Raila Odinga is a man who doesn’t uphold democracy as was evidenced by the botched ODM polls and as such cannot be the UN’s election observer. He challenged the former PM to first sort out ODM’s election madness before he can qualify to be an observer of a foreign country’s national election, because currently, he has nothing to offer in matters of election and lacks the moral authority to observe any election.


“Raila Odinga, Kenya’s former Prime Minister does not qualify to observe elections here in Mozambique because he has failed to conduct election in his own party ODM. He should sort out the election madness in ODM before coming here otherwise, he has no moral authority to observe any election,” said Afonso.


The former PM was appointed by UN as a special election observer in Mozambique due to his track record of fighting for good governance and more democratic space in Kenya and Africa.
