The Tanzania that i want in the next 25 years on my views openly, i want a Tanzania with less unemployment problem or decreased number of unemployed civilians of Tanzania in our country.
Unemployemt problem has become a headache to the nation because even those who are educated at Universities with degrees they are searching jobs hear and there which they have no knowledge and rxperience with, and the rate of unemployment keeps skyrocketing the roofs. Example in 2002 the population was 36.35 million with unemployment rate of 5.9%, in 2012 the population was 44 million with 7.8% of unmployment rate abd in 2022 the population was approximatelty 64 million with 8.9% of unemployed people. And by population projection in the near fututure through rough mathematics in the later 10 years the population will be about 80 milliion with 10.4% and in the next 10 years again it might be 100 million with 12% if not checked well.
If this problem is not kept under watch and tackled it will turn the economy and the.socio-economic welfare up side down.
The solition to this problem is establishment of heavy manufacturing industry of electronics and automobile industry.
Electronics industries is an industry that deals with manufacturing of large variety of electronic devices such as smartphones, speakers, radio, computer, televisions, camera, printers and many others. A smartphone it self requires about 150 to 180 professionals in designing it , so the mass prodiction of smartphone alone will provide a lot of employment to Tanzanians.
Automobile industry is an industry that deals witb manufacturing of automobile machines such as cars, semi- trailler, trucks, passenger buses, pick ups, construction trucks and many other. This industry will boost other industries like the rubber , steel and iron, glass and mirror production as well as Gas or oil industry.This.will create a lot of employment and improve welfare of people as tgey will have money to get their essential needs.
This is the perfect time for carrying this project in East Africa as we will have the first mover advendage in East, central,west and southern Africa as we will dominate the market before our neighbors start to involve themselves too and alleviate the dominance of China products.
The following are the ways through which our country can establish the electronic and automobile industry in Tanzania and solve the unemployment problem and improve standard of living of people:
Trained skilled personell abroad.Tanzania government should send a team of intelligent and patriotic scholars to go and learn the technology of manufacturing automobiles and electronics in all special areas of designing, engeneering, production, assembling , testing quality and many others. The government should send them to the best schools and learn the reverse engeneering of those industries.This would help Tanzania to create a bese of our technology in such industries.
Prepare an area and infrastructures. While the governemnt has sent sholars abroad to study, back to the country it should prepare for area of investment where the industries could be allocated either near raw materials source or market areas for such products. Also create a workshop with Machines needed for manufacture.
Secure channels for acquaring raw materials . Especially for the electronic industry that we don't have some of their raw naterials that are found in different parts of the world like Congo, Australlia and others. The markets for such raw materials are already monopolized due to their scarcity thus the government should secure a channel for such raw materails to ensure enough supply during production.
Formulate fvourable policies. The government should formulate appropriate policies and strategies that will support this industries. It should formulate a policy that will inclide electronic and mechanical education from the secondary level curriculum. Also it should give priority to such industry in the budget of the plan for 25 years.
Provision of economic incetives to such industry. Sinve they will be infant industry on their. Starting point thus to ensure they grow the government should at least provide incentives such as impose a small tax of about 10 % for about 15% .also the raw materials purchased from other countries should have zero import duty and machines . Thus the industries will flourish and create a lot of employment.
The industries should be under partneship of the government and private individuals. The government should invest initially hesvily in such industries and later should sell some shares to private individuals and later privatise it completely to private individulas. This is very important because the business man would not agree to lose their money easily thus they will work hard to the efficient level that the industry thrive and bring back their money.
Improve the relation of Tanzania with other countries in economic intergration. The leaders of Tanzania should prepare weapons for terrorizing the. Market of other neighbouring countries by improving the the friendly relation in Economic integration like SADC, EAC, ECOWAS,COMESA.Thus we will exploit the free trade area in such integration as a loophole for the success of Tanzania.
Lastly, i would like to conclude by keeping my views open; this plan should be carried immediately before our fellow neigbouring nation implement such schemes., thus we should dominate the.market so that we can be more well off than them .
