Ending Ukraine-Russia war requires deal acceptable to all sides – Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that all sides involved in negotiations to end the war between Ukraine and Russia will have to agree to the terms of any settlement and that "there has to be concessions made by all sides."

Rubio said that President Donald Trump is the only leader who can bring peace to Ukraine.

"What's important to understand is two things. The first is [that] the only leader in the world who can make this happen, who can even bring people together to begin to talk about it in a serious way, is President Trump. The second thing I would say is that in order for a conflict to end, everyone involved in that conflict has to be okay with it; it has to be acceptable to them,"
Rubio said.

NATO troops in Ukraine unacceptable – Lavrov

Speaking to journalists after the talks, Lavrov emphasized that “the presence of armed forces from NATO countries, even under the EU flag or as part of national contingents, is completely unacceptable to us.”

Zelensky: "There will be no victory without US support, but Putin will not be able to occupy Ukraine"

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told German TV channel ARD that "the US will stop supporting if Ukraine raises the issue of US soldiers in Ukraine."

Key points:

🔹Donald Trump has a very close relationship with Putin. However, Zelensky does not believe that there can be really good relations between the leaders of the US and Russia.

🔹Russia wants to get rid of me. If not physically, then politically. I am a very inconvenient person for Putin.

🔹We must be patient, preserve the state and our sovereignty. We will not sign anything just like that.

🔹 Now Ukraine is in a better situation than in the first year of the war, we have our own weapons production, the economy is growing.

🔹 The US wanted 50% of what was in the document on rare earth metals. But there is not a word about security guarantees. There is nothing clear there. I cannot sell the state.

🔹 The war cost Ukraine $320 billion, of which $120 billion was paid by Ukrainians and another $200 billion by the United States and Europe.

🔹 Only 1% of Ukrainians support concessions to the Russians. Zelensky suggested that Kellogg walk the streets of Ukrainian cities and ask people's opinions.

🔹 One of the Ukrainian cities does not have Patriot missiles. The commander can call me at 5 in the morning and say: "There are 8 targets approaching, but we have no anti-aircraft missiles."

🔹 I have started negotiations with European leaders, and I believe that they will be ready to finance the Ukrainian armed forces if the United States does not.
