One name strike a nerve way back to 1981: Suspect/accused number # 2 Pius Mtakubwa Lugangira aka Father Tom!
He was known to be an arms dealer way back in 1981. Where did he get his capital? How was it possible for anyone back in them days to be an arms dealer? Forget John Nolan or Valhambia..Father Tom!
Who were his clients? how did he conduct such business under strong arm and eyes of TISS? How did he escape from jail?
Now as you wonder the story of Father Tom and the heading, ask yourself how did Tanzania survive the libaration war from the minute after we united with Zanzibar and embracing Non-Allign movement and then socialistic philosophies that led to Azimio la Arusha.
How "dirty" was our intelligence agency, millitary and government operative to establish a massive institution of black market products and clandestine movement that at the succesful declaration of Zimbabwe becoming Independence and the only left pieces were Namibia and South Africa?
Are the people who were incharge with these "black ops/iran contra" kind of deals the real "architects" of the aftermath which sort of literally institutionalized illicit trade, corruption and bad governance (Ufisadi; Epa, Meremeta...n.k.)?
Was Father Tom part of this crew of government operatives?
