There are these two major schools, the one that advocates for 'Queen English' as the model and that which is acceptable and should be used and the other army of those, like me, who are of the opinion that English is no longer anybody's property and thus the idea of World Englishes (this shouldn't be confused with World English). Prominent scholars including D. Crystal are pro-world englishes too, in some instances.

So, today after a perusal on few blogs I happen to see few posts accompanied by pictures of 'funny, incorrect, ungrammatical, mis-spelled English' found in some parts of Tanzania. This kept me wondering, is it not time that we start developing and embracing 'Tanzanian version" of English? Such as the S.A., Nigeria, Kenya and India have?
