Rahco is seeking the supply, testing and
commissioning of 14 electric locomotives for
freight trains and five electric multiple units
(EMU).

Af unajua we ni mjinga
Ivi kuna quality ya umeme[emoji50][emoji50][emoji50][emoji50]
Kama hujui bora unyamaze
For the record

50/60Hz.
Anyways, umeme of course hautoshi ila lazima serikali watakuwa na mpango kabambe. Let us wait and see.
Kuna Kinyerezi II (240MW) inakaribia kukamilika (see image below) na construction of Stiegler's Gorge (2100MW) about to start.

Sasa cha ajabu kipi hapo? Inajulikana muda mrefu kwamba reli itatumia electric and diesel trains yani we umeona 2 diesel locomotives ni big deal kuliko 19 electric locomotives? Unashangaza

hahaha....
Rahco is also seeking the supply of two diesel locomotives...???

even in Europe the diesel powered locomotives are not completely thrown away. they are still standby for a case of emergency. think this critically, when an electric powered train crashes, do you think the power will be on? do you think they will use electrified winch train to lift the overturned coaches or CARGO wagons?
