Unless iwe ni cooked data, lakini jamaa wapo deep! Binafsi, naona hawa jamaa criteria zao zinaleta sense sana na hata position zenyewe zilivyokaa!! haiingii akilini hata kidogo kwamba Kairuki(plz, msinipige mawe) iwepo kwenye Orodha halafu Muhimbili isiwepo; yaani sawa na kusema Kairuki ni chuo bora kuliko Muhimbili; MASIHARA ya hali ya juu!!

Nazani Mwali hakuangalia Methodology iliyotumika.....!! Uzuri wa jamaa ambao nimewaweka hata ule upendeleo wa kijinga hawana! Kuna Raters from kutoka Nairobi, ukiangalia ranking yao, imejaa karibu vyuo vyote vya Kenya!! Lakini hao jamaa, ambao institution yao ipo Uturuki, wala kwenye list yao hukuti wamependelea vyuo vya kwao. Wana affiliate university, lakini kwenye ranking duniani, ipo nafasi 234(kama sikosei) but not below nafasi ya 200!! Ingekuwa ile ya Kenya, si ajabu wangekuwa among Top 100 duniani!

The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) has been named among the top 20 performing universities in Africa. An international online Universities and Colleges ranking directory (www.4icu.org) recently published its 2013 current top 100 universities and colleges in Africa, mentioning UDSM as one of the best universities.


The private-owned varsity, the Hubert Kairuki Memorial University Tanzania, is also listed, scoring the 48th position in the overall ranking. Other universities from Tanzania do not appear in the ranking.

Apart from the UDSM and Hubert Kairuki, the other top 10 on the list are universities in South Africa and Egypt while other universities from Uganda, Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, Morocco and even Sudan lead favourably against six Kenyan universities that appear on the directory's ranking.

The six Kenyan universities that appear in the top 100 list are University of Nairobi (14th) Kenyatta University (42nd), Strathmore University (47th), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Kenya (66th), Moi University (84th) and Egerton University which scored the 91st position.

Ugandan universities featuring in the list are two – Makerere University (11th) and Uganda Christian University (79th), while Rwanda's varsity in the list are National University of Rwanda (97th) and Kigali Institute of Science and Technology Rwanda which was ranked 100th.

There is no single university from Burundi in the list. According to the list, South African universities lead the chart, including University of Cape Town, University of Pretoria, Universiteit Stellenbosch, University of the Witwatersrand, University of KwaZulu- Natal, University of South Africa and University of the Western Cape.

International Colleges and Universities is an international higher education search engine and directory reviewing accredited Colleges and Universities around the world.

According to the website, its directory includes worldwide higher education organisations which are officially recognised, licensed or accredited by national or regional bodies such as ministries of education and/or recognised higher education accrediting organisations. Their ranking is based on an algorithm including three unbiased and independent web metrics extracted from three different search engines.
