Tanzania losing out on Intra-Africa trade

Our biggest exports are tea and coffee.
Exported by cooperatives owned by Kenyan farmers.

Ata hio miraa unaongea kuhusu, sijawai ona Msomali ata mmoja akilima miraa.
Somalis are the final customers. Miraa yote Kenya hutoka upande wa Meru.

Big export ya Kenya ni maua, kasome tena, na maua ni Muzungu owned!

So unasema we don't export coffee or tea?
Unaelewa maana ya 'biggest exports'.

And then what's with you bongolalas consoling yourselves ati Kenya ni wazungu wanaendesha biashara?
Why didn't these whites come to Tanzania?
And are these whites paying taxes or not?
Are they hiring their family members to pluck the flowers?

I guess what he is trying to say that if the land that is currently occupied and called Tanzania had only monkeys or Bats as the only living organisms, Tanzanias exports would still be high... If gold alone generates $1.5B in earnings for tz..add that to uranium, tanzanite, diamond, silver, gas..and a whole list of other minerals...

But in Kenya, if you remove the humans living there, exports go down to <1% of current figures...

----
with this in mind, and the fact that humans do live in Tz ... Tz should be up their with SA, Egypt, Morrocco..etc not down here

Tanzania used the better part of their time after independence to build the country's ethos, unity and to kill tribalism. SA, Egypt,Morroco are deeply divided unequal societies that can collapse anytime like libya.
The nation building project is now complete, focus has now shifted to economy.
Kenya on the other hand is not a nation, ethnic strive and the gap between rich and poor poses great threat to economic progress.
Depends on a country's priority- Tanzania did it right, they are now stable and have a president who is pro development

Go back to sleep if at all you think you're awake...eti build ethos, unity amd kill tribalism.. shame on you, does it take 50+ years to do that?? Even if you think your analysis is correct..

Do you know how much time European people spent quarreling with each other? more than 500 years and 2 world wars. And still some rougue states want to quit EU and other dont want to join
50 years for Tz tribes to be cohesive is a record

Excellent observation.. but has nothing to do with our reality at home..

Tribalism is a thing of the past in Tanzania, thats common knowledge... Mwalimu did away with that with flying colours... the subsequent regimes failed to keep up with the current world order in terms of progress, and greatly due to corruption and quality education to the mass... and probably so many other reasons, but definitely NOT tribalism... so lets not mistake our problems with our neighbor's... Tribalism has affected Kenya greatly but not our country by the farthest fraction... Let's thank Baba wa Taifa for that but not remain in a limbo for decades for a thing which has been tackled long back... its as good as it doesnt exist... maybe very very silently and does no harm in the growth engine of our country..

Tz never remained in Limbo even in Mwinyi, Mkapa and Kikwete administrations there was growth, But these leaders could not match the brilliance and expertise of Nyerere. But now, JPM is even better than Nyerere his mind is sharp, his patriotism is legendaly his vision is unique and brilliant. Thats why those who wanted the status quo to remain decamped to Chadema. They cant imagine a new nyerere is now ruling Tz.
