The Hunger and Nutrition Commitment Index (HANCI) ranks governments on their political commitment to tackling hunger and undernutrition.

This is a rank based on political comitment of politicians, just because there is strong comitment doesnt mean you dont have undernutrition or mulnutritien.... A country like quatamala is one of the poorest, but they have strong commitment!

And as per the definition of undernutrition. ... it is the same as hunger!


UNICEF definition of undernutrition.
This report card primarily uses the term undernutrition , defined as the outcome of insufficient food intake ( hunger) and repeated infectious diseases. Undernutrition includes being underweight for one’s age, too short for one’s age (stunted), dangerously thin (wasted), and deficient in vitamins and minerals (micronutrient malnutrition).

Stunting currently affects 42 per cent of under five children, and is only a two percentage points lower than it was five years ago. The burden of stunting in Tanzania ranks third in Sub-Saharan Africa, after Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

the essesnce of all these arguments is whats contained in the heading ... Undernutrition + Hunger + Tanzania ... anything else is sideshows..... kwahivyo umekubali kua hunger = undernutrition ? deal na hayo mwanzo alafu ndo twende kwa malnutrition
