Let me give you an example of how pricing works, iphone sales for the last 10 years have been on decline but company revenue has steadily increased, this was achieved by increasing price. Apple realized (something you have not), it is much easier to sell fewer items at a higher price and make enormous profit than selling many at a cheaper price.
