Tanzania Q1 2018: Current Market Share. Total Telecom Subscribers: 40,377,483

Halotel is growing fast, i'm pretty sure by the end of this year it's market share will be double digits. Those guys means business n have already constructed own fiber optic network now covering over 90% of Tanzania. Meanwhile Tigo owner of Zantel will eclipse Vodacom on marketshare this year but if Vodacom's plan to acquire Bharti Airtel will not go through. There might be another IPO too this year.

 
I woud be happy if Halotel is to acquire Airtel and not Vodacom as I dont want a Kenyan situation where Safaricom is dominant!

Its actually free,did you know safaricom agents get paid 400 bob for every simcard that gets activated,did u knw Esther muchemi the owner of samchi telecommunications a safcom agent makes 40m monthly even if she decided not to do anything i.e. selling airtime

Okay the other day in town I saw some guys giving away free sim cards and I thought it was a scam.
