Tanzania Research Group Threatened Over Magufuli Survey

• Tanzanian authorities threatened to take legal action against research organisation Twaweza after it released a survey that claimed to show President John Magufuli’s popularity had declined.
• The research found that President Magufuli’s approval ratings had plummeted by 41% since coming to power two years ago.
• But in response, the public body responsible for science and technology, Costech, said Twaweza’s survey was not certified..

I'm failing to wrap up my mind around this!

We normally say, research should be answered by another research. Where have the so called COSTECH been for so long time? Is it now just after the popularity of our Hon. Presidaa declined then the Authority chooses to stand up. As a free state, I suggest that threat have been overtaken by events. It is no longer a civilized approach.

Costech should launch a PR campaign to uplift the popularity of jiwe.. It's no use despising the outcome of a public survey

Your text in red, it is not always that research is answered with another research because a review can reveal a flaw if not flaws. Again, there are standard ways of conducting research, if they are not followed, the research findings become invalid.

Simply research is a scientific study intended to reveal a specific data to the community. This study can be conducted in various ways. By interviews, questioners, literature reviews...anyways my intention is not to take you back to class.

TWAWEZA is one the very famous research institutes based in Tanzania and it has conducted numberer of studies with no doubt. And the Government at some stages has always being in agreement with its findings. What is so special with its final reveals? Is it because the findings are on peril with the Government? As a civilized state there must be ways of accepting both findings whether the findings will make you happy or not.

With this reaction, any reasonable man in the community would ask where have the so called COSTECH been for so long time? It is a matter of reasoning. Is it the so called standards were deserted and toiled in the forgotten shelves? The answer remains anonymous.

Unaweza ku-regulate maoni ya umma?? Wamekuwa misukule? Kwa hiyo yanatakiwa maoni ya hizo taasisi na siyo ya wananchi!

But, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why this Survey has been a pain in a neck to some people.
