Tanzania kupitia bandari ya Dar kwa sasa imevutia kupitisha mizigo mingi hasa toka Burundi kwa ku-charge bei ambayo wateja wanaweza kumudu. Kwa mujibu wa gazetu la the East African ninanukuu "On average it costs $1.80 per kilometre per container to transport goods from the port of Dar es Salaam to Bujumbura compared with $3.10 per kilometre per container from the port of Mombasa"

Kwa rate hizi, bila shaka hata Uganda na Rwanda wanaweza kuachana na "coalition of the willing" wakatumia bandari yetu.
Congo ni wa kwetu na tu-maximize kwa kuwa na good customer service kwenye maeneo mengine pia.
Kwa kuvutia wateja wengi kupitishia mizigo Tanzania kupitia Dar, inafanya private sector ifaidike na mnyororo wa thamani kwa kampuni na forodha (clearing and forwarding) kupata kazi,
kampuni za usafirishaji kufanya biashara,
Bandari kupata mizigo na kupata charges zaidi
Hotel/guest house kufanya biashara,
vituo vya mafuta kuuza "wese" kwa magari yanayosafirisha containers,
wauza chakula kupita migahawa na canteen kuhudumia wateja toka nje,
banks zetu kufanya biashara ya fedha kama ni kubadili fedha au makato ya withdrawals.
Hapa kuna biashara kubwa sana inafanyika,
hongereni wizara ya uchukuzi kuwa very strategic kwenye pricing.
