I have skimmed through all this but failed to comprehend what you are blabbering about, yeah it's only a fanatic who can't change their minds, has nothing to do with deep rooted principles. You must understand political parties and ideologies are meant for human and not the other way round, if for some reason someone managed to intellectually and empirically convince me against my political stance, I will definitely switch over, and that's why we have campaigns during elections, where competitors sell their policies, they present their development records and agenda so electorate can make informed decisions, only fanatics are fixated and can't see reason or listen.
As for political maturity between Kenya and Tanzania, yes we are incomparable, Tanzania has not suffered most of the ills that Kenya has faced simply because most of Tanzanians are moribund and mediocre (wapo wapo tu), can be controlled easily, they were locked up in ujamaa mentality such that anything said or done by the state can not be questioned or analysed (that explains why Tanzania is so poor despite having far much more resources than all countries in Africa). Conversely, Kenyans are a very inquisitive lot, to lead them like a herd of sheep is very difficult, they are used to being independent and that's why we are the only country not listed in LDC the whole of this region and beyond, in spite of the fact that our country is small with so little minerals.
Haha, I couldn't help it but to read your comment with grin on my face, and I’m sure you know why.
Back to the topic, the difference between us is that I don’t make choices from five minutes of political freak show. There is more than that when it comes to choosing what is right for you (politically), track record is one, reputation is another. Someone who has reputation of making mistakes, can not be trusted to do anything other than making more mistakes. This is where swingers voters get disappointed when they end up with candidate who promised them mountain and lakes, but delivers anthill and pond. This is why anyone who makes decision to vote for someone just for their appearance or their punchlines on stage, they shouldn't blame anyone once they end up with elephant on the circus. (Sonko comes to mind).
You might have this false impression that Kenya is a society that of independent minded people, but is you look deep inside you'll realize this is a society which can not tolerate the views of others. No one has a time to pause and reflect before jumping to conclusion. If you have tolerance society, which can listen and reflect, you will be able to use that opportunity or gift to build a united nation. Go to any country around the world which is united and it has clear view on their future, first thing you will see is large proportion of their people speak the same language, and the second thing you will see, their people can entertain the view of others. Even Romans they used to be barbaric towards one another, but with time they realise peace is the only way to guarantee their survival. What's shocking is someone claiming they have inquisitive society, but they end up with only 1% of their population control 99% country wealth? I mean are those inquisitive people sleeping?
