For a while know our opposition politicians have lacked solid ideological stance to build upon their political agenda BESIDE ACTIVISM AND POPULIST agenda staged by corruption scandals and government misconduct..ITS ABOUT TIME OUR POLITICIANS REDEFINE THEIR STRATEGY AND IDEOLOGIES THAT ARE RELEVANT TO US AS COMMON PEOPLE OF WHICH ARE THE MAJORITY VOTERS

A place for sound ideological basis in Tanzanian politics? Who has capacity for that? The ruling party? Start by asking them about their ideological construct if you wont get the usual blare about "free education, health services for all, jobs for all, clean water for everyone, free reign of machingas and mama lishe, SGR, viwanda, etc. Then try articulating that first into the less complicated policy context then into an ideological rationale.

By the way, how many Tanzanian politicians (of all parties) and their (majority) electorate comprehend the gist and import of "ideology" or even the simpler "policy context"? Who even gives a hoot about those notions? Anyone with a good measure of sanity can see that Activism and Populism have always been the rave in town in Tanzanian politics since times immemorial. On the lead, is the current leadership which is hell-bent on monopolizing personality cult worship (North Korea style). Everyone especially notable personalities are coerced into singing praises to the "dear leader sent from heaven to rescue the nation from its past excesses". Those who dare question the deity of the "chosen one" risk coming face to face with the "final solution" meted by the anonymous. Ideology at work? That would be a sinister joke!
