Aliyewahi kuwa kocha wa timu ya Yanga na timu ya Taifa ya Malawi, Jack Chamangwana, amefariki dunia.
Kwa mujibu wa taarifa kutoka nchini Malawi Jack Chamangwana raia wa Malawi, amefariki jana Jumapili katika Hospitali ya Qeen Elizabeth Mjini Blantyre nchini humo kwa maradhi ya shinikizo la damu.
Tanzania inamkumbuka vema Chamangwana, baada ya kuiwezesha Yanga kutwaa Ubingwa mara mbili mfululizo katika msimu wa mwaka 2004 na 2005, wakati timu hiyo ikikabiliwa na ukata mkubwa wa fedha.
Chamangwama aliyefariki akiwa na umri wa miaka 61, katika historia ya Malawi anatajwa kuwa mchezaji mwenye kiwango kikubwa zaidi kuwahi kutokea, akiwa ni mchezaji wa pili kucheza mechi nyingi za timu ya Taifa ya Malawi ambazo ni 133.
Hadi anafariki dunia Jack Chamangwana alikuwa ni mkurugenzi wa ufundi wa Mighty Be Forward Wanderers.

South African giants Kaizer Chiefs are mourning the passing of former player and coach Jack ‘Black Stone’ Chamangwana.
Chamangwana who was most recently the technical director of Malawi club Be Forward Wanderers was an Amakhosi player from 1986 until 1988, after which he would later go on to become a coach at the Soweto giants.
According to reports, the former Malawi international passed away at the age of 61 after losing his battle with illness at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre in his native homeland.
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ chairman Kaizer Motaung has issued a statement, offering his condolences following the passing of the second most capped Malawi international,
“I have received the devastating news of Jack Chamangwana’s passing,” Motaung revealed in a statement issued by the club on its website.
“I’m still reeling from the shock of hearing this sad news,” Motaung added.
“Black Stone made his mark in the Gold & Black colours of Amakhosi. We achieved many accolades during his stint with us. Who will forget Championship winning year 1989? Black Stone was there as our coach,” the Glamour Boys boss reflected.
“In March last year we invited him to the Soweto Derby. I relived the glory days with him while we enjoyed lunch together. Little did I know his visit was his goodbye. So sad. During his visit, he shared his knowledge of football and told me he watched every Kaizer Chiefs match on DStv. I’m glad to have shared in his life and times. What a great gentleman!
“On behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family I would like to send Love & Peace and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, Wanderers FC and the Malawian football family,” Motaung concluded.
Aside from coaching Chiefs, Chamangwana in recent times also enjoyed stints with the Malawi national team, most notably as an assistant coach but was eventually sacked in June of 2015.
Goal would also like to offer its condolences to the family and friends of Chamangwana and wish them strength at this trying time.
