[h=1]Tanzania: Tarime Police Question Kenyan Woman Over Robbery[/h] By Mugini Jacob, 5 April 2012
The bandits fired shots in the air and later injured four people with machetes before making away with their personal belongings including cash, according to the Tarime Regional Police Commander (RPC) Justus Kamugisha.
"We are interrogating a Kenyan woman to establish if she was involved or not but we are also looking for the bandits and we will arrest them," he told reporters in his office on Wednesday.
He named the Kenyan suspect who was until yesterday afternoon being questioned in connection with the incident as Linah Bosbori, 25, a resident of Nyabohanse in Kenyan South Nyanza province. The RPC named the injured persons as Zedius Ndiyetabura, 28, Mashauri Seyu, 31, Seria Thomas, 32, and Seta Gaga, 37.
"They have all been admitted at the Tarime District Hospital and their conditions are improving", Kamugisha said. One of the suspected bandits was however hacked to death by angry residents at the scene, according to the RPC. The bandits, he said, were armed with two guns.
