CCM will not change by merely changing the man at the top. CCM is a sophisticated system built over many years in support of a one party system and mildly changed to "suit" multi-party democracy. It is a dictatorship that dresses itself in the clothes of multiparty democracy while in reality it is hegemony of a self-styled clan of a selected few ruling with an iron fist over a majority.

The selection of John Pombe Joseph Magufuli comes not as a willing choice, but as a necessity to forge a compromise and portray an imagery of unity within the ranks of CCM. The reality remains the same. CCM is a party of petty bourgeoisie, aligned to business people of all ranks bankrolling the party in anticipation of lucrative contracts in the future.

I was not surprised when I saw leading presidential contenders within CCM being accompanied by prominent businessmen. The businessmen were "investing" for the future! Mr. Magufuli will not change the CCM as it is today. He neither has the power nor the clout to do so. He is the product of the same system. He knows the people who put him into that position. He will have to tow the line. Such is the CCM that I know.

The days of the CCM of Nyerere are long gone and CCM has until now failed to produce a strong leader the likes of Nyerere. One other factor. Over the years that CCM has been in power, it has built up a network of ardent supporters, sympathisers and utter fanatics who have been placed in strategic positions throughout the nations institutions. These people will do anything to make sure that CCM stays in power at any cost, even by foul or "hand of God" as one of them put it so squarely recently. For them to do otherwise is suicidal. Come rain come sunshine, CCM is their choice.

Where does this leave us Tanzanians? That is a million dollar question. However, let me point out one obvious thing. Don't expect much from Mr John Pombe Magufuli. You will be disappointed. The struggle for mother Tanzania and its development will still depend on the opposition parties and specifically the likes of CHADEMA and NCCR Mageuzi. That will be the subject of my next input. A luta continua, Venceremos.

Some people are reluctant to changes we need an exceptional knowledge to grant them.

Those people you pigeonhole as fanatics, ardent supporters and sympathizers are of no worry to our struggles towards second liberation but a free Electoral Commission is. We need only small change which will automatically lead a broader and comprehensive changes to the bigger system, down-up!

Well said Mkuu. Tanzanians naively think that the likes of Magufuli would change tyranic behaviour of CCM. We will be making a grave mistake to think that CCM is a one man show. Magufuli will and shall never change CCM.

We stand to lose everything, even our hope, if we think of a new CCM through Maghufuli. There is an English saying that every man braces his pe..s, however small might be. What CCM is trying to show us is like bracing its p...s.

I understand ccm strategically places appointees purposely to safe guard its interests and existence. Looking at the commissioners, heads of government subsystems and Ambassadors, the trend of president candidates and their ruling systems can clearly show where we are heading if system will remain in power any longer. Of kozi magufuli naye ni nyenzo tu ya ccm kutaka kuachive mauaji yake kwa taifa.

Now they are bringing in a slogan of choosing a person and not a party as if mtu ataongoza nhi kwa matakwa yake while in reality, ccm will ensure whomever is representing it, is fulfilling its interests at a desired standard no matter how the interests are harming peoples' life and National Existence. Ccm hovyo sana!, miongo , michawi, mifisadi, miuaji na midanganyifu ya kutisha.

However, they are very few compared to general public which has been defenseless and subjected for all kinds of social, economic and security suffering . History never tell lies. Today yes, they seem to be powerful and strong, but no army or any weapon has ever defeated power of unified injured community. We only need common understanding and awareness on our common enemy and the weapons it has been using against us which are all clearly known.

By the end of September, ccm will be left with its national leaders, ministers, commissioners and few at the bottom. Within that situation who is going to fake election statistics? Isn't it the end of this monster which has destroyed lives of many people in the country?

Iknow, it is possible, we can make it. Let us play our roles!.

God Bless Tanzania.
