*The Disturbing Silence Of Dar US Embassy Over New COVID-19 Case*
By Advocate John Kimbisa, Dar
Early today we learnt that a U.S citizen is among those confirmed with positive test for corona virus in Tanzania. This comes few days after his arrival from an unnamed destination.
It ought to be remembered that when the first case for COVID-19 was confirmed positive in Tanzania, the U.S Embassy in Dar es Salaam rushed to both English and Swahili language strategies to report on social media about the existence of the disease in Tanzania.
Reciprocally, I expected that the Embassy could use similar ways to report that U.S citizen is the second importer of the disease in Tanzania, after other two cases involving individuals who came back from abroad.
The Tanzanian woman who tested positive upon arrival from abroad, marking the first case in the country, regreted today and apologized to Tanzanians, but neither the U.S Ambassador to Tanzania nor any official has regretted or apologized for their citizen who imported the killer illness.
On a high level of hypocricy, the U.S Embassy once known for implementing the role of informing and alerting the world on security and public health issues, has all over a sudden gone silent.
The number of people affected by this U.S citizen is still unknown.
This comes amid concerns that the corona virus was made in US laboratories as a weapon for biological warfare. China has raised same concerns.
