Tanzania : The Quiet Revolution : Part 1

Right after the indepedence of Tanganyika and revolution in Zanzibar, leaders of Tanzania felt of the need to build a strong foundation for a united one nation that is inclusive.

As nations go, Tanzania is in its infancy. It was born in April 1964 of a union of Tanganyika, a former British colony, and Zanzibar, tiny islands off the East Coast of Africa which were formerly Arab dominated. This program explores many of the problems facing this struggling nation - poverty, sickness, education, and lack of trained manpower. Beyond this, the program focuses on Tanzania's policy of non-alignment in the Cold War and its willing acceptance of foreign aid from both Free World and Communist Bloc countries

To be able to achieve that massive goal as a nation it was thought that Kivukoni HISTORY OF MNMA College should be established where young people will gather and do brainstorming short course to agree what is to be done .

Out of these many short course which drew delagates and politicians from all over the country, something unique was attained in Tanzania that was missing in many newly idependent african countries. And that can be summarized in words One Country One Tanzania for all regardless of your skin colour, tribe or religion.
