Ghana goal poacher John Antwi has completed a $2.2 million move to Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab from Ismaily, the Egyptian club's chairman said Wednesday.

Mahmoud Aboul-Saoud revealed in a television interview that the former Dreams FC striker has penned a two-and-a-half year deal with the Riyadh-based club.

The 22-year-old has been one of the Egyptian Premier League's most consistent performers since joining Ismaily, Egypt's third most successful side, two summers ago.

Antwi scored 11 goals last season to win the top scorer award in a north and south league format whilst he is also currently leading the goal king race with 12 goals in 17 appearances.

German side Karlsruher and Croatian giants Rijeka were also interested in him but the Al Shabab deal was appealing.
