The Migingo Saga: Kenya vs Uganda, why?!

Hi AB, I hadnt noticed that this is your thread, if they spoil for a war, am sure we can whoop their a.ss with our eyes closed. Those boy scouts are ill equiped and trained.

Lets make peace not war

Hi smatta,

someone opined that Kenya might have the equipment but Ugandans
have the 'grind'. So strong was his statement that he even had the
nerve to say that the Ugandans will be having breakfast in Nairobi in
a week's time. This reminded of the last skirmish between Kenya and
UG where Kenyan Military bosses were so pissed off at Moi when he
called the operation off and had them boys backpedal to Kahawa
Garrisson.

Meanwhile I don't want no war, but M7 is getting on everybody's
nerves.Sio Kenya tu, but the whole of EA as a region...especially
when his hand is playing out in the Great Lakes Region conflict. The
man's ego is overbearing and he has this delusional plan of being a
paramount leader for East and Central Africa.

My take: if Kenya were to go to war with UG it must be quick and
decisive in order to win. A drawn out war will play into M7's hands
and my biggest problem with President Kibaki is that he is not
calling out this guy on his words/statements.How can one be so
foolish to claim that Migingo belongs to Kenya but the waters are
Uganda's? Kenyatta angekua ametukana huyu mtu kitambo sana
Then he takes it a step further by claiming its a jaluo
problem and not Kenya's.The Kenyan Parliament should issue out
a statement on this stupidity otherwise M7 will play into the
tribal schisms that bedevil Kenya.

Regards.

Im usually reserved on this issue because there is more than meets the eye on the Uganda Migingo issue, we can uproot the railway line all year but Kibaki will never act against Museveni.. Have you ever noticed that the dudes greet each other using the left hand, even in public with cameras blazing. They have a ka- strange, unexplainable bond which started way back before the botched 2007 election.

Museveni has a haboured hate for Raila, to the extent of showing their dislike for each other in public. We are just mere speculators in the power play between Kla and Nrb, but I know of some people who wount sleep until the truth comes to light.

What is that all about??????...I had not noticed that arm shaking thing.
Kweli kuna kazi.Meanwhile did you read that the Kenyan Parliament
could not debate the Migingo issue because of lack of quorum?..That was
so lame to say the least.

Dude they shake using the left hand, is this weird or WEIRD, can someone clear this for us (and dont say the two are scouts, coz i atleast know kibaki isnt). Lets just be spectators and watch as the soap opera evolves, coz if M7 is playing the tribal card, kuta haribika. If wishes were horses, our military personnel would be eating supper in Kla state hse tonight.

Jamani, tuache kabisa kushabikia vita. Ni kitu kibaya sana, usiombe. Waulize wakazi wa Mbagala Dar es Salaam.

KUNGUNI,

Hakuna anayeshabikia vita..the operational word is IF....

serikali yao kuweka depot ya mabomu within a residential neighborhoood.

nguli Idi alivyomfanyia Mwalimu. Kumbuka Mwalimu did not hesitate and
the rest is in our history books.Mbona M7 hajaleta hizo kelele zake Bongo?

Kuna wakati kipigo kinakua the only language hawa madikteta wanaelewa.

lets pray no saga begin btn the two men, coz we are the stepping stone of their root...play for peace....

.....................................
haille selas hai jar rasta farai.

war is not a game like sex, so u should never undermine anyone btn the two, though we dont play the saga 2 happen

The only punks I see here are the Kenyans..yes you heard it.

These are the leaders we expect them to lead East Africa together in harmony? my mouth has run dry.

Uganda is land locked..80% of exports/imports pass through Kenya!

M7 must learn to respect this geographical disadvantage!

I heard M7 akizoza mbovu mbovu Dar...je hajui hata diplomacy??

These are the problems of staying in power too long!

He must go now: he is getting old vibaya!

Yaani anangea na Kenya kama dictator??

Sema tu pia Kibaki ni mpole mno: he is not confrontational, ingekuwa Raila ni Raisi hapo ingekuwa kazi!

Migingo saga reminds one of satarical poem by W.Soutar titled Parable.
Theme of poem is the destructive consequence of people creating barriers
between themselves.

Soutar writes:-

Two neighbours who were rather dense
considered their mutual fence
were more symbolic of their peace
which they maintained should never cease
if each about his home built a wall.

Soutar further describes how the neighbours tore down the
fence to build a wall at great expense. He says day by day in their
unease they built the "battlement of peace" .In obsession for fear
of lack of building stone they pull down their dwellings to raise the wall
higher which eventully falls buring them beneath.

The migingo saga is probaly timely reminder to leaders and people of EA of need to foster relationships to create opottunity for EA youth.Sera ya kubanana humu humu imepitwa na wakati and a dead weight at best times.

Mkuu,

Govt walkout sabotages debate on Migingo island

Updated 8 hr(s) 40 min(s) ago

By Standard Online

A walkout by the Government side on Wednesday sabotaged a Motion on the controversial Migingo island.Rising to move the Private member's Motion, Ikolomani MP Bonny Khalwale had expressed disgust and anger over interference on Kenya's territorial integrity by Ugandan forces. He pointed at the presence of Ugandan troops on Migingo island and interference with the Kenyan border at Kacheliba in West Pokot.

Khalwale moved the motion asking President Kibaki to use all means necessary, including the mobilisation of the armed forces, to protect the country's borders according to his oath of office.

"Migingo is ours. Even if it is only one acre, we will reclaim it because Migingo is ours. Even if it is only a piece of rock, we will do all we need to protect it because it is ours," said Khalwale in an impassioned speech in Parliament. He added that the actions by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, and his reference to the matter as as "jaluo issue" was contemptuous of Kenyans.
But he was interrupted by Assistant Defence minister David Musila, who said it was against Standing Orders "to discuss the character of the head of State of a friendly country".

But the Mwingi South MP faced a barrage of points of order, with MPs asking Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim to declare Uganda a hostile neighbour.

Nominated MP Millie Odhiambo successfully moved an amendment asking President Kibaki to seek the assistance of the U.N.Security Council to sort out the matter. She was forced to withdraw remarks that "Yoweri Museveni Ka-whatever is a mad man" seeking to control countries in the eastern Africa region, citing conflicts with Sudan, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo as the other countries whose borders Museveni was interfering with.

But as Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa stood to support the amended motion, MPs the Government side complained that the Speaker had overlooked them. Subsequently, they walked out, forcing parliament to adjourn for lack of quorum, as there were less than the mandatory 30 MPs required to conduct business.

The debate will resume next Wednesday when Private Members' Motions are debated.
Parliament would resume business on Wednesday afternoon, with debate on a report by the Finance Committee on the Supplementary Budget discrepancy.

The committee was asked to prepare a report on the query by Imenti Central MP Gitobu Imanyara on the discrepancy of Sh9.2 billion in Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta's presentation to MPs.

Halafu, in a plot straight out of "The Merchants of Venice" anasema kisiwa ni cha Kenya, ila maji ni ya Uganda kwa hiyo ukipiga hatua moja tu kwenye maji umeingia Uganda.

How ridiculous. I mean I know JK is ridiculous and all, lakini hapa JK anaonekana Einstein, lol.
