Tanzania Railways Limited (TRL) technicians yesterday asked an investor in the company, Rites Consortium of India, to support maintenance of locomotives and engines rather than sabotaging the firm’s rolling stock.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam soon after launching two rehabilitated locomotives, the local technicians called on the investor and other stakeholders to support their motives to revive the remaining eight engines which were left as scrap by the Rites management.
The call came barely four days after local engineers managed to rehabilitate two engines, which currently are operating smoothly.
TRL mechanical technician Hendry Luganga said the locally rehabilitated engines could manage to pull a minimum of 22 wagons.
He said there was no need for the government to import foreign engineers from India to revive the dilapidated engines.
Electrical technician Aulelius Mville said by the end of this week they were planning to release another three engines which were in the final stages of rehabilitation.
He said their aim was to show the investor that once enabled local engineers could perform better.
According to him, the rehabilitated engines travelled yesterday to Morogoro with 710 tonnes of luggage

Mimi nadhani hawakupewa nafasi. Lawana zisukumizwe si kwao bali mamlaka makuu aka serikali. Tumeleweshwa mvinyo wa uwekezaji kiasi kwamba tunasahau kuwa hata sisi tunaweza.

mbona hatuna utamaduni wa kuwapa nafasi wataalamu wetu ndo maana hata hao wametuonyesha kama wanaweza,suala la kusema walikuwa wapi sio sahihi labda saa hizi ndo wamepewa nafasi tutajuae? Nawapa hongera na waendelee na moyo huohuo

Mwekezaji Anapowezeshwa!


Kwa mujibuwa Vyombo vya Habari Mheshimiwa Waziri Mkuu, ametatua mgogoro uliopelekea wafanyakazi wa Shirika la Reli lililobinafsishwa kwa kampuni kutoka India kugoma. Sio siri ni jambo la kufurahisha kuona kuwa wafanyakazi hao watalipwa mishahara yao. Ila swali la kujiuliza ni iweje mwekezaji ashindwe kuhudumia wafanyakazi wake mpaka Serikali imkope shilingi bilioni 3.6? Yaani ule uwezeshaji wote wa vivutio wanavyopewa na TIC havitoshi?

Na hizo dalili za wingu la ufisadi ambazo zinajidhihirisha zitachunguzwa au yaliyopita si ndwele tugange yajayo? Naam yajayo yatatokea baada ya hiyo miezi 5 ambapo hizo bilioni 3.6 zitakuwa zimekwisha. Je, mwekezaji atakuwa amejizatiti au atataka kuwezeshwa tena na Serikali yetu iliyoelemewa na mizigo mingi ya madeni ya uwekezaji mbovu na inayowezeshwa na wafadhili?

Hakika ndio maana Mwalimu Nyerere alilalamika kuwa mbona wanatuambia tubinafsishe vya kwetu wakati vyao hawabinafsishi. Ndio maana alisisitiza kuwa 'you cannot nationalize nothing' yaani huwezi kubinafsisha kisichopo. Kumbe tulikuwa navyo na fedha tunazo. Kuifadhili TRL kunadhihirisha kuwa bongo tambarare kama anavyouliza kwa bezo mtoa maoni wa blogu ya Michuzi?

Ukweli ni kwamba kwa utawala wa CCM, wataalamu huwa hawasikilizwi. Tuna viongozi wasiojua lolote jinsi ya kuendeleza nchi, wanawaza kuuza kila kitu na hii inasababishwa na mawazo ya kimaskini ya kutaka kula leo na ya kesho yatajujua bila kupanga mikakati ya muda mrefu na mfupi.

Tanzania tunao wataalamu wa kutosha kuendeleza mashirika mbali mbali tatizo ni pesa zinaishia kwenye mikutano, semina , warsha, usafiri wa vigogo n.k. Nawapongeza mafundi wa TRL na nawaomba waendelee na moyo huo.
 
Mwenzenu natatizwa sana na hii dhana ya Uzalendo wa hawa ndugu ambao miaka yote ndio waliokuwa wakisabotage shirika lao. Wao ndio waliokuwa wamegeuza karakana za TRC kuwa karakana za shughuli zao binafsi, ni hawahawa ndio waliokuwa wakiharibu hizo engine za treni ili wapate tenda za kufanyia matengenezo na overtimes, ni hawahawa ndio waliokuwa wakiliibia TRC katika mauzo ya ticket, ni hawahawa walikuwa wakithubutu kuangusha treni ili kushinikiza madai yao ambayo mengi yalikuwa ni ya kidanganyifu, ni hawahawa ndio walikuwa wakiwanyanyasa wasafiri wa treni haswa mabinti wa shule, ni hawahawa waliokuwa mabingwa wa kibia treni zao dizeli na mengine hovyohovyo mengi....

Sasa wanapokuja na huu uzalendo wa kina ALOYCE KIMARO inakuwa ngumu kuwaamini.....

Kwa kweli nashindwa kuelewa uzalendo wa enzi hizi......nashindwa kabisa

Uzalendo my a$$$,hawa wamekuwa na shirika likawafia mikononi mwao,na sio siri these as$$es kwa uzembe,rushwa na kutowajibika ndio maana shirika limekufa,anyway sasa wanapoteza kazi zao na hawana pa kula ndio wanakuja na stunt zao za danganya toto...hili shirika lingeuzwa lote 100% kwa mtu competent na serikali isingejiingiza na kutoa pesa ya aina yeyote,hawa wapuuzi acha warudi barabarani wawe ombaomba tuu na hao matapeli wa RITES wachukue hiyo 50% watimue zao shirika lianze upya kabisa!
