"My history will prove authentic"- Tupac
A million theories about the Legend's death. As one of his hardcore fans, I have a few of my own as well.
Who Killed Tupac (If he really died)
Hip-hop's beef??
Neither Puffy, nor any other rapper had anything to do with Tupac's death (if he really died). One must've had a lotta power and brain to have pulled that, and get away with it. Puffy of all people, don't have even a quarter of cojones to even have thought about it (violence has never been his style anyway). And it was never a "Hip-hop's violence" bs some tryna make it about.
Suge Knight??
I don't believe Suge killed Tupac, or even had a part in it. Here is why; Suge loved Tupac, and it was mutual. But If Suge participated in the killing of Tupac, then whatever deal he made would've kept him away from his troubles with the law, cuz whoever killed Tupac was running the world. Mind you that, after Tupac's death, Suge was hit with 9 years in jail(?) for violation of either his probation or parole (I think it's the former), for his part in the kicking of Orlando Anderson.
Also, these talks of Tupac leaving Death Row are somewhat ridiculous. Tupac was Death Row, and I believe if he wanted to leave DR he would have left before the time of his death. The deal Tupac and Suge had, was for 3 albums(?) under DR, and by the time of his death, he had already paid his due (All eyez on me which was a double disc, and the posthumous The Don Killuminati - the 7 day theory). So why didn't he leave then? Instead, Tupac was talking about expanding DR to the "enemy's territory" (starting Death Row East), and they had already talked with Big Daddy Kane about having him and he was down(Kane testified). Going with this, I think Tupac woulda became Death Row's co-owner eventually.
And People seem to ignore the fact Suge had let Dre and Snoop (his key players) go, when they decided to. Why didn't he kill them? Although one could argue that they weren't Tupac (as he outshone both, put together), and it would make sense. But I believe Suge had no reason whatsoever to kill Tupac.
Gang violence??
There's also this theory about it being a Crips' revenge on Tupac for having beaten one of their own (Orlando). It could be true, except it has some flaws in it. Suge's a Pirus, and was a very powerful and dangerous one. Tupac never pledged to any gang, but since he was Suge's "brother", he was also Pirus' blood. So if Crips did this, Pirus woulda gone all out to set the record straight. Suge had a reputation for being not the type to forgive. Besides, if any "gang" carried that hit, they woulda surely went on letting the world know that no one messes with one of theirs. No gang is stupid enough to have killed a man like Suge's right hand man, right infront of his eyes, and leave him just slightly injured. So, I'd rule this one out as well
Then again, He might not have died afterall.
I have also had doubts and questions about his "death" too.
1. In just 9 months, Tupac had already done more than 3 albums, a couple of movies, and a lotta other things. There are legends that's been going on that, the man could record about a 4/5+ songs a day. He was moving in a very fast pace. Where was he rushing to?? He once claimed that he knew he didn't have enough time to live, so he had to do the most he could. He had a plan, no doubt.
2. In his 2nd released song since he came outta jail (Ambitionz az a Rydah), he had lines like
"so many battlefield scars, while driven in plush cars/ This life as a rap star, is nothing without heart/ - Was he feeling the pressure?? of course. Doesn't necessarily mean he succumbed to it, tho it's very much possible. Listen to Thugz' mansion.
He also says "Mama come rescue me, I'm suicidal thinkin thoughts/
I'm innocent, so there'll be bullets flyin when I'm caught/
(Shoot!) https://jamii.app/JFUserGuide doin jail time, better day, sacrifice/
Won't get a chance to do me, like they did my nigga Tyson/
Thuggin for life and if you right, then nigga die for it/
Let them other brothers try, at least you tried for it/
By suicidal thinkin thoughts, could he have mean't forging his own death and quit the revolution? He called out his Mother to come rescue him, and we all know it's her that made him an activist to carry on where The Panthers left off, only differently. Was he telling her that he was overweighed? Perharps.
there'll be bullets flyin when I'm caught/ - How many bullets flew when he was caught? 5. Coincidence? With Tupac, I doubt.
https://jamii.app/JFUserGuide doin jail time, better day, sacrifice/
Won't get a chance to do me, like they did my nigga Tyson/ - If Tupac had survived (assume he was really shot and died), he was going back to jail for violating his probation. Many times he had said how he was never going back to jail, cuz "it wasn't the spot". Refer his on my block's line that goes, "Life in a pen it ain't for me, cuz I'd rather die" . So, did he choose to go ghost, insteada jail? Probably.
Thuggin for life and if you right, then nigga die for it/
Let them other brothers try, at least you tried for it/ - Unlike how 'they' want you to believe, Tupac's THUG LIFE stood for the Oppressed against the Oppressors. So, with that line, it's like he was saying he had done his part, and he should let others try too.
My murderous lyrics, equipped with spirits of the Thugs before me/
Pay off the block, evade the cops cause I know they comin for me/
I been hesitant to reappear, been away for years/
By paying off the block, could he have mean't paying his due to Suge, then evade (disappear) cuz the cops (authorities) were after him? And what did he mean with being hesitant to re-appear after having been away for years? Could he have mean't THUG LIFE? cuz he did re-nounce it at some point, til' he announced it back in the very same song (Now it's on and it's on, because I said so). Or was that all just another prophecy? That's his forte afterall.
Lace 'em with lyrics that's legendary, musical mercenary/
For money, I'll have these motherfuckers buried/
In his post jail time, Tupac was said to have abandoned some of that activism in his songs. That he was somewhat more concerned with moving units(making money). Well, there he confessed his plan before they even noticed. And Biggie died because of money, thanx for being involved against Tupac.
Just listen to the whole song man.
3. In another song of his (Untouchable - Swizz Beatz' remix) he has lines that go...
Only wish to breed , I explode into a million seeds /
Ya'll remember me, Legendary live eternally/
Bury me in pieces, cause they fear reincarnation/
Peep that. Mind y'all that Tupac was "cremated and his ashes scattered", so indeed he was buried in pieces.
4. The fact that nobody saw his actual dead body.
5. Treach (one of his friends) was once recorded (unknowingly?) saying something like Tupac's alive and kicking in Cuba. Scarface, another one he was really down with, last year(?) in an interview with either Sway in the morning, or The Breakfast club, said something like he would punch Tupac if he were to re-surface for all that he had put him through. Punchline is, Scarface ain't sure if Tupac really died.
6. In one his last interviews, with Sway I think, Tupac said something like he had studied and mastered Machiavelli's, and he was making it his, and perfect it. Thus Makaveli. And we all know what Machiavelli is mostly known for, when it comes to dealing with enemies.
et cetera, et cetera.
All in all, whether dead or not, people love Tupac so much to let him go. And that's legendary.
