Turkana County is set to get a boost in trade as the process of acquisition of land in the county for the Lapsset Project Corridor began.
Lands CS Faridah Karoney and a delegation of government officials today held a consultative meeting with Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok to identify 1,450 hectares acres of land where the construction of a pipeline, railway line and tarmacked roads will begin.
The Lappset corridor passing through Turkana, Samburu, Lamu, Isiolo and Garrissa County is expected to boost business and investment in the region.
