A woman and her daughter who both have dual citizenship of Kenya and the USA were arrested by Anti-terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) agents in Dagoretti, Nairobi, in possession of unlicensed weapons on Wednesday, April 2021.
The officers recovered a M4 Carbine Assault Rifle, 4 Pistols, Uzi automatic Sub-machine gun & a combined 3700 bullets.
Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) say, both women who live in Nairobi’s Racecourse Estate in Dagoretti Corner, are being interrogated in connection with the deadly cache of weapons.

Wawili hao wamekamatwa na kupatikana na bunduki aina ya M4 Carbine Assault Rifle, Pistol nne, Sub-machine gun ya Uzi na Tembe za risasi zaidi ya 3700 wakiwa nyumbani kwao. Uchunguzi bado unaendelea kwa mujibu wa maafisa wa usalama eneo hilo ili ijulikane wamezipata kwa njia gani silaha hizo bila ya kibali.
