The governments of Uganda and Tanzania have jointly received the front-end engineering design for the planned 1,450km Hoima-Tanga oil pipeline, whose construction is targeted for this year.
The conclusion of the design stage implies that the financial closure of the $3.55 billion East African crude oil pipeline can now commence and it is intended for conclusion with leading financiers by August this year.
