Is a plan by China to build/extend the SGR eigther from Msa or from Lamu all the way to Cameroon port so that cargo from the Americas can be transported by rail then packed into Asian bound ships and vice verser. Ships won’t have to travel around Africa in weeks , cargo will go through Africa in a matter of days.

Of course kuna alternatives, but now that the Chinese have funded phase 1 and 2A, it will be kind of difficult for them to pick another alternative and start drawing another route all over again. It’s much easier for them to just pay a few billions (relatively speaking)...
