Yes it will. It is a massive project!

"The road starts in the neighborhood called Miritini, on the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway, approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi), northwest of the central business district of Mombasa.[2] From there it will loop around the western edge of Mombasa International Airport to end at a neighborhood called Mache at the water's edge, west of the airport. From Mache, several bridges will carry the highway across the Port Reitz Bay to Dongo Kundu on the south-side of the bay. From Dongo Kundu the highway continues in a southeasterly direction until it ends at Ng’ombeni, on the Malindi–Bagamoyo Highway. The entire bypass highway measures approximately 17.5 kilometres (11 mi).[3]"

Hapa nawaza. Wakenya wengi wanaofanya biashara Dar es Salaam wataacha kutumia Namanga-Arusha na kubadili mkondo na kusafiri hadi Mombasa masaa manne halafu kutoka Mombasa hadi Dar.

Whaat! This is massive, it seems Mombasa is getting a bigger share than even Nairobi, Port Reitz Road, Dongo Kundu Bypass, Dongo Kundu SEZ, Mombasa Port, Mombasa Road Mirirtini Dualing, This place is going to be dope more than Nairobi at this rate. By the way, there are two highways on your first image, one on the upper side of the Mombasa Station and the one in foreground which you have stated as the Dongo Kundu project, which one is this in the upper part??
 
Well done our Kenyan brothers! You really are doing a great job out there. I will surely take a train trip from Nairobi to Mombasa one of these days.

I also long for the day I'll take a train from Nairobi to Dar in under 12 hours. Doing nothing but enjoying the beautiful East African plains.
