Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has donated a bus to his former side Country Bus FC who will get to share it with Muthurwa Boxing Club.
Wanyama was natured in Muthurwa and started his football with Country Bus FC, drawing his name "Lion of Muthurwa" from playing in the hood.
The Harambee Stars skipper procured the 40 seater bus in London, England through the Victor Wanyama Foundation and will be expected in the country on Saturday before being branded.
Speaking to Nation Sports, Wanyama hoped that the bus will spark greater things for the club, "East or west home is always the best.
"I can never run away from the fact that I was born and bred in Muthurwa and that Country Bus FC nurtured my talent.
"I am happy to give back to the team in a small way and hope this will be the beginning of the team’s ascendancy to the top.
Wanyama added that the bus will come in handy for logistic purposes of the Muthurwa Boxing Club, "Muthurwa is also known for producing good boxers and this is courtesy of the boxing club.
"This bus will also serve them whenever they are traveling for games or whatever functions they have."
