Jamani mimi nipo ktk kuandaa Sisal Agribusiness Project.

Project duration ni twelve years. Nimesha identify cost zote na benefis. Pia nishaandaa Projected Cashflow statement ya mradi huo. Kasheshe imekuja wakati nataka kufanya Project Appraisal, nimekumbuka kuwa ktk kutafuta NPV, BCR na IRR ni lazima nizidiscount costs zote na benefits zote, sasa ninachoomba kusaidiwa ni kwa vipi nitapata Interest rate inayotumika kufanya discounting?

Please help. Kwa kesi ya IRR, Najua kuwa Interest rate inayopaswa kutumiwa ni ile ile unayochajiwa kwenye mkopo ulokopwa kwaajili ya kuanzisha biashara, vp kuhusu hyo interest rate inayotumika kufanya discounting. Pia anayeijua hiyo curent rate plz anitajie. Ahsanteni kwa support zenu wadau

Mi ni mwanafunzi bado so naweza nkakosea ila nachojua ni kwamba discounting measure zote zinatumia interest rate uliyochukulia mkopo so kwenye kutafuta NPV, BCR na IRR utatumia interest rate moja ktk kufanya discount measures zako. Ukiniambia interest rate yako naweza nkakuwekea list ya discount factors za miaka yote 12 hapa
 

Shukrani sana, umenipa idea mkuu. Kuna case moja, hvi kama nimeanzisha biashara kwa mtaji wangu mwenyewe bila kukopa. Si nitapaswa pia kuzifanyia discounting benefits zangu au? Interest rate ipi nitatumia ku take into acount time value of money? Tueleweshane kidogo wadau
 
Kwasababu diacount rate inatumika kupata future value of money, in case unatumia mtaji wako mwenyewe utachofanya ni kutumia interest rate ambayo ungepata kama hiyo pesa ungesave ktk savings au fixed account badala ya ku-invest
 
Mkuu kama unatumia TZS kwenye financial projections zako discounting factor/rate yako isiwe chini ya 22% na kama unatumia USD ama any other hard currency isiwe chini ya 10%.

Mkuu si lazima utumie zote mbili IRR na NPV moja inatosha ingawa kila moja ina weakness yake. Kwa mradi wa miaka kumi na mbili its very likely kukpatia un realistic figure kwa sababu time line yako ni kubwa sana kiasi kwamba changes zitakazojitokeza hapo zinaweza zisiwe reflected. hivyo ningekushauri utumia 6 - 8yrs time line.

Nafahamu pia Sisal inatumia muda mrefu mpaka ianze kuvunwa 3 - 5years na utaivuna for 15 - 30years hivyo kuna alot of assumptions you need to include in your proposal. Pia na inaweza ikakupa negative values/rate below discounting rate/factors. Kama unajua kutumia excel vizuri ni rahisi sana kuitafuta NPV/IRR na unaweza kucheza nayo jinsi utakavyo

Kwa ujumla nashukuru sana mkuu, Maelezo yako yamenipa mwanga zaidi. Anyway, ningependa kujua logic ya kuweka interest rate kubwa tunavotumia TZS, kuliko USD, Ni kwaajili ya inflation kubwa au?

Yani hata mimi nimepata kitu kipya kwakweli. Nadhani ni kwasababu inflation inakuwa kubwa sana. Kwakweli jf ni kisima cha maarifa

pia waweza tembelea website ya BOT ili ujirihdishe na current project appraisal interest rate ambayo kama ckosei ni 15% kwa pesa yetu.
Ukiangalia njia zote za kutathmini mradi, PBP, ARR, IRR, NPV, etc , ni NPV ndiyo inatumika mara nyingi.
 

Japo si mimi niliyeleta hoja nadhani si mbaya nikachip in. Hiyo sababu ndio haswa kwani hii ni projection ambayo idea ni kuminimize risk ndio maana tunadiscount so kuconsider inflation ni japo muhimu sana. Its obvious namna ambavyo TZS yetu ilivyo vulnerable vs hard currencies kama USD na Euro etc.
