Of course if u have market share of 76% n CAK is not forcing Safaricom from accepting money transfer other mobile companies in Kenya. Mpesa charges r higher in Kenya than in Tanzania though Safaricom has twice the number of customers compared to Vodacom. And yet u r bragging in here of that unfair monopoly.
Kwenye investing hutizami present, unatizama how the future looks like, sasa Jpm kashasema kiama kinakuja makampuni ya simu, afu ukanunue hisa zao? Akili au matope hayo?Hehehe! Hayo matamko ndio tatizo.
Ati Kenyans can afford it while crying of cost of Unga! Wacha ujinga reason u r not complaining is u have no significant competition in the that market n lack of fa moderation since among the owners of Safaricom there are the likes of mobitelea that r unfaithful government officials. You shouldn't be punished for your success.
And because prices are higher than in Tanzania, it doesn't mean they are unreasonable. Kenyans are not complaining because they can afford it. Same way $1000 rent is normal in London but would be outrageous in Dar.
The funny thing is that Safaricom coverage is not in the whole of Kenya just like that Airtel n the new entrant from Equity bank.Voice coverage is more or less the same.
Internet coverage is better (and more expensive) on Safaricom.
Not withstanding, even in towns and cities where the likes of Orange have fast internet, Safaricom is still king.
Main reason people stick with Safaricom is Mpesa.
But away from that, people think it is simply too cumbersome to switch to another network.
Orange or Airtel may be cheaper, but Safaricom prices are also cheap. Sometimes with differences of a few cents, it's simply not worth the savings.
But sticking to the topic, learn to differentiate stock market investments from emotions. I know people who own Kenya Airways shares here but would not dare enter their planes. And there are many other examples.
[emoji23] excuse me... why should I buy shares from loss making KQ, Uchumi and Mumias? That's why I stated that you have a long way to go. People don't buy shares because they use that service.
There are many people here with shares of Kenya Airways, Uchumi, Mumias etc. and may never have used those services.
And this is where Tanzania has a looong way to go, in improving the entrepreneurial spirit of its citizenry. It doesn't matter whether you like something or not, as long as it is on a growth trajectory.
In the US for example, Tesla recently became the largest motor company by market value. Yet they barely sell 50,000 cars per year, as opposed to GM's millions. Actually, a very small % of Americans own a Tesla.
The same applies to other companies listed on the NSE.
Njaa sio shida. Swali ni kama tuna pesa ya kununua chenye hatuna. And yes we have.
Entrepreneurs who can't grow, can't feed n worst can't afford Unga price but can afford buying shares. The ego from these Northern neighbors has no match.. [emoji85]You don't have money for buying food, we keep on saving you lazy asses.
High food prices force Kenyans to shop in Uganda, Tanzania
Tz ubabaishaji mwingi unaweza kuta hizo pesa zikatumika na ccm kuua upinzani 2020
I meant the government. It has subsidized maize and soon sugar. You don't have money for buying food, we keep on saving you lazy asses.

Of those 800,000 many r foreigners since NSE allows foreign buyers a thing DSE don't as we empower the locals.Congratulations.
Still a long way to go considering Safaricom had 800,000 buyers.

U export food really? I know of flowers n tea from foreign companies operating there while food u depend on Tanzania n Uganda. The only thing Kenyan farmers r good at is Miraa.Do you realize right now we export more food products than you?
Notwithstanding Kenya being a desert.
The biggest shame in Africa is you Tanzania. You should be feeding the entire continent with your whole country being arable. Apart from DRC, I don't think there's any other country as large as you, with many lakes and rivers, that barely survives. You even have to come to Kenya for milk... milk of all things.
This year rain failed in Kenya, but that does not mean we will rely on rainfall forever.
There are big plans in various stages for massive irrigation. Galana Kulalu will be the biggest in the region with 1 million acres under irrigation.
Right now they are doing pilots to see the bests varieties to grow, plus also building a mega dam.
We're moving away from subsistence farming which has refused to leave your ujamii minds. In less than 10 years you will be coming to buy food here because of how cheap it is.
Evidence? And why should we buy from u while we have our DSE? BTW how long has been NSE in comparison to DSE? Don't u feel ashamed DSE is catching up in size n transaction value while launched in 1990s?Don't know why I keep responding to you.
The NSE was opened to Tanzania and Uganda.
Uganda being the smaller country picked up more shares than you dimwits. This Ujamii mentality will be the end of you.
And foreigners were allocated 20% of the shares. In reality they bought up less than 10%.

Fool Do u know apart from feeding u on items like cereals, rice, tomatoes n onions we export pulses, sunflower seeds n cashews to India! Also cashews, coffee n cacao to Europe? Even avocardo n fresh vegetables to Amsterdam?Go look up where the likes of UAE and some other middle east countries get their beef and fruits.
While at it, also look up where Tanzania gets its milk.🙂
We export avocados as far as Eastern Europe.
Delmonte here in Thika has a huge pineapple plantation that exports juices all over the world.
Even these tea and coffee you like demonizing are our biggest exports. They employ hundreds of thousands of people and bring in lots of foreign currency.
Tanzania has literally nothing to show in the world. You could be wiped out of the face of the earth and be forgotten the next week.
