Advancement of science and technology displays more merit rather than demerit in all fields laid on. The knowledge from the advancement has qualified extensively in every activity done; be it in agriculture, auto mobiles, security, space exploration, mining, education or health provision. I believe the knowledge is linearly programmed before application thus making it preferable in most cases.
Personally, I would like to acknowledge the contribution of science and technology in the health sector. It is obvious that with better health care everything turns better. Development of science and technology has occurred exponentially in the 20th and 21st centuries, believing that this is due to expansion in provision of education.
Education furnishes undigested knowledge to man; an intellectual person digests the knowledge and applies it in a required occasion and creates an impact or a revolution with a huge manifestation. Uncouth people have failed to adapt with the changing speed of science and technology since they still stagnate with the old versions. The current state of the world needs less of hard work and more of smartness and vision minds. This is why most people prejudge on what science and technology can do.
Taking a living example of the Covid-19 pandemic and the discussion raised on the vaccines, personally, I do not wish to make a debate or base on any side but I want everyone to rethink and come up with a personal conclusion after making judgement from reliable sources and not from the pressure of influence or beliefs.
It is a shame to see an adult going astray from resistible influences. Why don't we take our time and think? If everyone could think before making decisions, less could go astray. We could have useful exploitation of resources, competitive and extensive enterprises, multiple sources of tax collection, high life expectancy, proper allocation of energy and time, conserved and healthy environment and so on. I realize that the problem begins from the grass root level rather than the top. What I want to clarify is that we should fix it from our families to reduce condemning the government.
Parents play a bigger role in promoting a strong foundation of the nation and I am not sure if all parents recognize their impact at large. A parent raises a child who is to be a responsible citizen, have a profession and finally be a parent too. Imagine a parent who fails to pay for better education and basic needs of a child thus making the child acquire poor health, poor mental ability and poor education which link to poor career, less ideas, less income, less contribution to the nation and finally become a burden to the government. In this way, they will never be a developed nation. My proposition is that; parents should have reasonable number of kids that they can nurture. This involves basic needs together with 100% monitoring but also if it happens that one is not well raised, they should try to raise themselves up.
Secondly, people should not live in dreams, hopes and normal satisfaction. We need to struggle to succeed since it is a matter of life or death. Everyone has an obligation to improve what is already present. Take your country as your home. Keep it clean and add up value to it time after time since being patriotic is not an option.
Leaders evolve from the society. A society with intellectuals provides responsible leaders who develop an effective government to foster development. For a society with less thinkers, the same is expected of their leaders in the government and therefore less development occurs as a result. We should create smart leaders by being smart. If we seek for the basic reason to why leaders extract money from the system apart from greed, one of the reasons becomes high rate of dependency. Our families believe that when one succeeds, the whole clan succeeds and this is a sign of poverty. Not only in the government but also in workplaces, appointing unqualified people in crucial sectors just because of an existing relationship between the appointer and appointee is nonsense.
The reason why we have more imports, low economy, high rate of unemployment, poor provision of social services, high mortality rate and political instability is obvious!
