Sonora Gold & Silver Corp. is a Vancouver-based mining exploration company focused on exploration and development of precious metal projects. Sonora has looked to stable mining regions of east Africa, more specifically the United Republic of Tanzania to explore for gold. Tanzania is rapidly emerging as one of the premier mining regions in Africa, behind South Africa and Ghana. With Sonora's recent agreements to acquire 100% of the Negese Project, located within the Kilindi District of northeast Tanzania, along with its entry property, the Handeni Project, located in the Handeni Tanga gold district, Sonora is priming to become an emerging junior gold explorer in a region of the world only now entering into its dawn.
