I will begin by sending my condolence to George Muchai. What happened is completely unacceptable and goes against the new Africa the new generation is fighting for. I hope this is not a sign of dark days of Robert Ouko and Tom Mboya assassination coming back to Kenya. However I'm suppressed i have not seen those daily threads from lamwai and MK254 bragging about Kenya's Economic power, quality education and good English. I have even seen Some people on CCTV( China TV) calling them self security experts using their good english. But the question is why all that is best in Kenya does not translate to good security and where is Kenya pride when it comes to security matters. Its a shame that with all CCTV on the street, the security budget you have produce ill-prepared bodyguards and slow or no police response to the event. May be its time rethink on what to be proud of and look in to security, food and dignity.

Why hide this here and quote me cowardly without using proper tagging, while there is a Kenyan section where we can contribute en-mass.
While I do not want to sound like a government PR officer, but it must be appreciated this whole security architecture is a process and not one time panacea to our security issues. It's the first ever we are having CCTV installations across the whole country, so far a lot has been done in Nairobi. And note, CCTV tech is just part of the whole process, we need hierarchy of officers at each command post and who are competent/alert enough to deal with specific incidents in real-time by way of proper interpretation of the goings on and issuance of specific commands to diverse respondents.

We have a lot that is still being improved, including the VIP themselves needs training on how to relate with their guards as there are reports of some using them to handle "very personal" stuffs like fetching girls etc.

Securing a nation is not a joke, even in Tanzania, we have read about police stations being raid everyday to a point that they are discussing how to secure the stations.....come on ati how to secure police stations, haingii akilini... here is the whole report.

Let's now protect police stations

i lived in kenya for atleast six months. Their biggest problem is corruption, their soldiers and police are useless money hungry thugs just like the politicians..

I totally agree with you and I think Kibaki wasted a very good opportunity to fight corruption in 2003,No other opportunity will ever present itself like in 2003 to Kenya.

We should accept it and move on and maybe legalize corrruption and start to taxing it

umeanza tena sio..
the fat man you don't know what you're talking about, you must be one of them because you can only walk on the street and see corruption going on by the law enforcement agent.

Has someone hacked into your account, I expect more from you than this childish rant. Sielewi unachoongea hapa na kuniita fat man wakati wa kujadili hoja.
I've explained very well, putting up CCTV is not the ultimate solutions, we have to change a lot, including the corruption you talking about.

[h=3]WEZI WATINGA IKULU KUKU WAIBIWA , WALINZI WASHINDWA KUWABAINI WAHALIFU[/h]

"Mkuu wa Wilaya ni mwakilishi wa Rais wetu, inakuwaje eneo la Ikulu ndogo analoishi kuvamiwa na wezi wakati vyombo vya usalama vipo," walihoji wananchi hao.Kamanda wa Polisi mkoani humo, Deusdedith Nsimeki, alikiri kutokea kwa tukio hilo na kusema kuwa;
