Ujamaa ulituunganisha watanzania na kubomoa uchumi!!!well, in certain nations like Nigeria, oil has been the main source of economic growth and has very little to do with British colonialism...for SA, I believe gold played a very critical role in its development plus alot of the investments that mostly white South africans made after independence...unlike most african nations, SA embraced industrialization at a very early stage post-independence...they developed many cities and grabbed alot of markets in Africa...also, nations colonized by the British embraced a more capitalist approach...look at Kenya in EA....thats why they ended up developing more than other socialist nations like TZ..watanzania wanaeza pinga hili ila ujamaa umechangia kwa umaskini uliopo nchini mwenu vikubwa...sisemi kuwa kenya sio maskini...as a matter of fact it is very poor...but that ujamaa thing iliwa affect...Nyerere was an idiot..
kweli kabisa...however, it still helped tanzanians be 'one people'...you guys I admire ur togetherness...you place ur national interests before ur tribal instincts and that is a product of the ujamaa system..you have a uniting language (Swahili) and you rarely fight against each other...but speaking from an economic point of view, ujamaa doesn't work that well...Ujamaa ulituunganisha watanzania na kubomoa uchumi!!!

ππHujui lolote kuhusu ujamaa, ukiulizwa ujamaa ulileta umasikini kivipi huwezi kujibu.
They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America? Fidel Castro
