In hometown of the deputy speaker things are falling apart as far as free, fair and verifiable elections are concerned knowing the immediate MP Sugu has been arrested today for being escorted by his followers a habit common to all who are vying for public office. The police state is brandishing inapplicable law of unauthorised gathering little did they exculpate themselves over the deputy speaker who has been left alone to bribe voters, organise meetings and being escorted by the police state wherever she goes. The issues of double standard and double speak raised by Mr. Sugu are very valid and needs to be urgently addressed...

We suspect Sugu will be held long enough that he may not return the election forms in time and when the deadline of submission of election forms passes then he will be released. By a failure to return the forms in time the police state will have disqualified him from running leaving the beloved Tulia Ackson to pass unopposed as MP.

This is what our representative democracy has been reduced to....caricatured unto a mockery of democracy no wonder voter apathy is growing and before we know it will pose a serious national security in the very near future....if voters feel powerless to determine the destiny of their own country they will look out for other means which may change the political dynamics forever..
