The objectors must take part in this sham election as Nyerere did in 1958 where votes were racially weighted three for whites, two for Indians and one for African descent of every cast vote but in this election the balances heavily weigh against the opposition so to blurt it out....in fact, the election is already tipped in favour of the incumbent even before a single vote is cast!
At least the British weren't a bunch of hypocrites as we are...
Even the one issue which they gave them a hearing NEC didn't give reasons why they have satisfied themselves the election law was followed to the letter and no attempt was made to ensure the respondents served a copy of their riposte to the plaintiffs
Here is the objection of passport sized photographs were not included in the presidential forms but NEC said the respondents had satisfied them that they had adhered fully to the election laws...that is pathetic as NEC was supposed to say in what ways the law was observed by the respondents
NEC doesn't acknowledge nor deny whether photographs were attached but still claim and made a controversial ruling that the law was observed to the letter. The question an ordinary person reading or hearing this terse ruling will be to ask himself why the commissioners were evasive in ascertaining whether the photographs were part and parcel of the forms....why are they running away from making that observation?
Nowhere does NEC says it gave the objectors the respondents' reply to satisfy the plaintiffs that the law was fully adhered to ....
NEC by refusing to say the respondents gave the objectors the respondents' statement of defense clearly shows they were biased and couldn't give justice to the complainants
NEC says they dismissed all objections without even framing the other two! This is pathetic, how can they do that unless they know there's no accountability...no consequences to speak of.
As we are going to this election we ought to know the electorate never has a chance of electing those they want to lead them but it's the players in the institutions of governance who choose leaders on their behalf ...unlike the British who carved laws to protect themselves here not only laws but every single conduct is designed to disenfranchisement of voters....not yet uhuru is s fact of life!
So elections are a confirmation we are a nation of hypocrites pretending we are in an exercise of choosing our leaders but actually such power was long time ago hijacked by the same leaders we want to boot out....
Never a Clouds fan must confess but still feel they were wrongly condemned...again NEC was a complainant in this matter against own actions...it had made decisions and when those decisions were reported they complained which is very strange...
Reporting acts of public institutions shouldn't bother anybody but we are living in strange times where penalties are imposed without due regard to facts but to please those running the show
