we still remember what he did to cobble up a united opposition in a forlorn hope to edge ccm away from power with him a standard presidential flag bearer that never came to happen

both dr. slaa and lipumba were instrumental in cajoling and enticing lowassa to join them after the ccm fallout

both dr. slaa and lipumba were nursing presidential dreams of their own and deluded themselves lowassa can leave ccm to make up political weights just to benefit either of them

their greed clouded their judgment even to overlook the fact that lowassa, too, just like them was another political animal mulling presidential dreams of his own.............

prior to lowassa tectonic move to ukawa, both dr. slaa and lipumba had a huge bone to grind against themselves because neither was willing to surrender the ukawa presidential flag to the other..................as a result ukawa conducted many unsuccessful meetings to reach a presidential pick consensus following their untamed rivalries...........

so lipumba is dishonest when he claimed and still do blaming lowassa for his political miseries........

going by the lengthy and frequent ukawa meetings one is apt to contemplate had ukawa settled for dr. slaa; lipumba would still have jumped ship and blame religious discrimination factors to justify his impromptu actions..................the lowassa factor not really the bone of contention to his current problems.........he is too weak to lead

lipumba political biography in the opposition bespeaks volumes of his desire to run perpetually for the presidency regardless of the consequences................for example between 1995-2010 had cuf settled for anyone else but him to gun down for the presidency he would have rocked the cuf boat in equal measure as he is rocking ukawa and cuf boats

lipumba's doctrine informs us he is the only one qualified in the opposition to gun down the presidency and anyone else is unqualified and is a ccm mole to weaken the opposition

lipumba has failed to capture our imaginations because he is unqualified to lead even cuf and here is a case piling against him..........

his infighting with dr. slaa in the ukawa presidential nominations paved way for lowassa as a compromise candidate not sucked in cuf-chadema political infightings.....................the conclusion there his (lipumba's) dithering confirms him the domain of weak leader because of his indecision..........

far worse, lipumba is no democrat at all for a failure to urge primaries since 1995 to determine seekers of public office within cuf and later ukawa........he prefers cutting deals in top level meetings instead of commoners' participation.

had he been a democrat his presidential duels with dr. slaa would have long been settled in the court of presidential primaries where all members of affiliate political parties within ukawa would have taken part.........lowassa factor would not have been there in the first place................lowassa became a factor because of lack of democracy within the affiliate parties in ukawa

lipumba also blame chadema for overshadowing cuf but he fails to acknowledge this was not a real reason he shared with the general public why he grew cold feet and decamped from ukawa following the coronation of lowassa as ukawa presidential flag bearer............

at that time he discerned his life was in peril because he was opposing lowassa stealing the presidential nomination................he did not blame chadema as he is doing now for his ditching of his cuf chairman's docket or undermining cuf.........

so the new stories oozing out of his guileful lips is informed by his dire need to hang on unto cuf chairmanship after realizing only being there his political relevance in our political spectrum exists...................he needs cuf chair more than it ever needed him to speak of..........
