Bashiru took two oaths which few have bothered to ask themselves why

The first oath made him a civil servant capable of being appointed chief secretary

For an ambassador is a civil servant

The second oath that made him a chief secretary was culminating from the first oath of office

This is why our carefully considered finding no law was broken on that front

What makes the appointment of Bashiru so disgusting is not about the two oaths he took but appointing secretary general of a political party compromised the impartiality of the civil service

He was a leader of political party when he was appointed chief secretary and even during and after taking oath of office he remained the secretary general of a political party
