More than ninety percent of head on collisions are caused by dual carriageways constrained in very narrow lanes compounded by unacceptable levels of SSD or short sighting distance
We have traffic police not trained in road safety beyond road signage and as result to abruptly stultifying the road accident enquiries they blame on recklessness of over speeding drivers!
Narrow lanes make vehicle overtaking or bypassing perilous undertaking but because pointing on this weakens the political class nobody is willing to highlight them
It is because targeting TANROADS for antigraft onslaught is unlikely because it will weaken the political class whose only claim to power is in legitimization of official graft in the first place
