Why Magufuli administration misses the point on Government splurge

If opposition ward councillors can easily shift allegiances then we have reason to believe come 2020 such allegiance will be fully tested

Opposition is its own worst enemy

Its leadership not committed to the cause but self serving seems to dampen any hopes for the former

So opposition aspirants to ward councillorship and mp posts may exchange their certificates with hard cash paving way for many CCM aspirants locking their constituencies without even a single vote being cast

Opposition election agents may also be targeted

But the far reaching issue is grave matter of war on official graft

Given the nature of our election is decided by official graft then the war against it is lost even before it begun

Nobody can bite a hand that feeds him

When it comes to grand graft there is fuzzy line differentiating CCM from the fragmented opposition

Whoever win the next election cannot and should not be expected to wage a solemn war on graft because it is a hand that justifies his legitimacy to govern!

When law amendments are done hastily to coverup mischief then expect the protagonists to fail miserably

The problem past contracts carry obligations which cannot and should not be wished away by these amendments

The miners are fully protected by the doctrine of legitimate expectations of equal treatment before a judicial or quasi judicial body

Skimming through these amendments the impression created past contracts are also trespassed

Whether a government or not a trespasser is just that and nothing less

Past contractual obligations are constitutionally protected

So these new amendments are eunuch to arraign past infractions, if any

So, in giraffe gaze the euphoric expectations wafting around that the amendments will fetter Acacia from seeking legal redress in foreign tribunals is simply highly misguided!

So clauses of resolution of disputes to employ local legal avenues are bravado violations of international agreements and most foreign investors will shun us because they mistrust local judiciary and meditation regimes as a result of corruption, incompetence, time consuming and political interference.

We may as well pull out from all international agreements and begin extracting natural resources by ourselves.

More interesting are provisions of profits repatriation are as ambiguous and self defeating as they come!
