But do we woe for our miseries with mucus all around our nostrils and mouths waiting for the wrath of God to fall on our rivals? No! We have brain to plan on how to tackle different challenges and huddles that obstruct our way into resolving them.

The real concern is the perpetrators of these injustices have refused to take responsibility but are now posing as inherent victims!Mr Mwanzi1, if you stand for correction, let me put it in my way that, we are not a 'laid back society' but rather a 'deliberate sabotaged society' by internal and external selfish personalities. Look at how our natural resources are being mishandled, how our industries were privatized, how youths rush to towns and cities leaving the old folks to till on the land, how our expatriates perform their duties in a manner of 'business as usual', etc, etc! Inasmuch we dance to this tune of 'laid back society', we will remain so, though it is just a mindset misconception and not the reality!

Amen!Being patriotic does not mean condoning killings. It is more than that! It is about love of your country and its people and of which killings of fellow citizens is never in the society's dictionary, if not vocabulary! And when it happens to be otherwise, it is vehemently condemned and cursed!

There is no development without justice. Claiming hard work without justice is a path to sustainable development contradicts development history and Biblical edicts.We need to oust this bumpkin and replace him with someone elegant who doesn't use clumsy solutions in national affairs.

The opposition is ccm in the making. Look at the way they are rupturing their own minuscule parties unto shards just to serve own belliesI agree with you that our conscious was taken for granted by the very people we put our trust to lead us. But how do you bring back normality to the society which hasn't experience free speech, or personal determination or rule of law. Do we rush the change and risk social meltdown like what we see in Libya or Iraq? Or we introduce change gradually like what we see in China and Cuba, maybe North Korea. CCM there doing what they doing because there is no one with plan B to offer the people, how I wish we had a stable and robust opposition, which can offer us a sustainable plan.
Calling mass rallies to criticize the abuses of power and its excesses is abusing freedom of expressionWho says there is no freedom of speech? Let us try to differentiate between freedom of speech and freedom of abusing!
In anyway and anyhow, the human character stands no compromise with mocking and abusing language and there is also nowhere in judicial books where such is left to stay!
In other words bad languages have no sophisticated audible tune and therefore left either to be ignored or contained.
By the way, can you name one country among the so called 'most democratic nations' in the world which continues with endless political meetings after election? If none, is it because for them, "time is money"?

Constitutional rights embedded in freedom of expression and speech are pillars of development for a simple reason accountability is impossible to institutionalize without itI think you misunderstood me on both points, when I said "society which hasn't experience freedom of speech", I meant most of our people are not familiar with rules of freedom of speech, most people they don't know where it starts and where it ends. Most people took the word free speech literally as it is, and some political leaders are no better. Sometimes those leaders pretend not to know what is right from wrong so that they can clock a bit of politician mileage.
There is time for politics and time for work in most of responsible democratic countries. I'm not sure why you thought I'm against what Pres. Magufuli has introduced in our country. Even though our constitution allows political gathering, but we need to be sensible with our development and let people work. At same time we can save a bit of money from policing those gatherings.
The funny things is, all those "rights" they only exist on paper in our country. Majority of our people they haven't experience real freedom of expression or freedom of speech. We been mould to say what our leaders wanted us to say. And I know there is real hunger of these rights but CCM will do what it takes not to give them all in one go for fear of (A) loosing power, and (B) preserve national unity. If resources are squandered and fiefdoms accumulate power in few hands will the power of reason have a day in the courts of public opinion?But the issue I was referring to was not about recruiting grassroots members, I was referring on recruiting technocrats, strategist, PR, lawyer etc. The people who can set the tone for next general election or set motion on opposition political vehicle.
But if I go back your point that, how can opposition function with political ban set on them, look at what is going on in Spain right now with Catalan independence. Those guys are bombarded with ban after ban, but there still working. Rallies is not the only way to communicate with the wider public. I mention before that local party officers, social media and traditional media can play a key role on spreading the word to the people.
Just the other day i came accros the article on DailyNews online, written by P. Msekwa explaining that the bad was not all bad for Chadema, now they've time to rebuild there party and position themselves to the prospects of governing.
