Why Magufuli administration misses the point on Government splurge

Authorities are spewing out regular briefings but are discerning, unfortunately, nothing substantial....

Money is ferociously being collected to fight the deadly bug but nobody is willing to share the info where they are spending it leaving us with lingering thoughts the money from very good Samaritans could be misdirected to fund elections.. To be exact rigging it!

We say so not out of blues but after careful digesting and assimilating past conduct of this avaricious regime which never is people centered but infrastructure prioritizing..

Earthquake money was misdirected to solve authority issues well accommodated in the budget and unrelated to the victims niggling nightmares culminating from the unanticipated natural disaster so we have a legitimate reason to suspect a similar case is brewing here... Not otherwise,

Nobody is willing or able to tell us why the so called "referral hospitals" sprawling all over the country are not armed to teeth with automatic testing equipments.... We highly recommend them because they are very effective and efficient, period!

Why samples need to be rushed to Dar, and not auto tested locally, where in Dar manual testing equipment snails to churn out the results?

Why are all the "referrals" not garnished with intubators, respirators, ventilators and PPE.

Why to date the ministry of health is dumb and deaf to offer a national first line of treatment against the deadly disease? Even more stupefying is a reluctance to mandatory face masking in public

They bloviate a lot about "business as usual" but they consistently insinuate garbage, eagerly sharing irrelevant stats like how many have been infected while we know whatever they expose is just a drop in the ocean... Despite, we being in the know, they have not tested most of us regularly... So how do they gauge the actual rate of transmission without robust testing and are they aware majority of positives are asymptomatic patients who are notorious at displaying mild symptoms but capable of unleashing hell before us?

They mumble of Covid-19 deaths but skipping a lot of obvious stats littering in the public gallery as a result of this the public court has already adjudged the spin doctors guilty of lying as charged.. So public distrust is real, genuine and gushing...

We have a ministry which is a very poor delegator and refuse to trust doctors in the thick and thin of the pandemic to divulge the gospel truth because she wants to manipulate the truth...

We have a semi illiterate RC who blithely refutes scientific data now in public gallery on transmission of Coronavirus claiming it is not airborne but contagious only! WHO confirmed what we already knew the Coronavirus is both contagious and airborne lethal for up to 72 hrs leading us to ask ourselves some serious questions about the RC competence in general and risking lives does not seem to rattle his perverted conscience; if he has any conscience at all, appreciating he is yet to come out in public to bite a humble pie and confess he is guilty as charged... No wonder he is eternally tagged with an albatross of "wanton disregard" of human life provoking an American visa persona non grata...

Well, we live in a country where we highly regard lies and portray them as a gospel truth..! The cost of outrageous lies to human life totally disregarded!

It is in very poor response to the pandemic which this regime ought to be adjudged..

Why place infrastructure before humans? Didn't God command us to subdue the world both living and non living?

Why do we tempt God by this disobedience of subduing ourselves to the non living?

Are we not worthy more than many sparrows?

Is not the count of our hair kept in heaven?

Or you of little faith!

Barrick Gold and other coronavirus philanthropists will do us a huge favor and we badly need it if they stop doling out money to this callous regime and instead focus in getting the medics the equipment they need to save lives..including their own..

Equipment needed include PPE, intubation, respirators, ventilators, automatic testing kits among others..

We acknowledge that some of that gear will meander to private hospitals as lucre change hands but at least lives will be saved... Not withstanding which economic class benefits amore... Rather than hard cash disappearing without trace to fund political motivated causes..

The Citizen TV yesterday once and today twice have been dishing out groveling apologies to Mr Magufuli following viva voce complaints lodged by our ambassadorial rep there concerning allegations to our lopsided push against Coronavirus of which they had nicknamed "Ukaidi wa Magufuli" but my concern has always been can empty words trample actual deeds? Can words outdo deeds? "Ukaidi wa Magufuli" was probably a harsh choice of semantics for sure but you can feel the Citizen TV was reluctantly quoting the ambassador pandering views without backstopping any specifics to steady those adulatory defenses with any concrete examples of how we are waging a successful battle against a resilient bug determined to really teach us a lifetime lesson on humility and reverence to God... The Citizen TV aura impressed me she was under suffocating duress to air the apologies and I also felt their government was also pressuring them to bite a humble pie and can feel the rancor simmering in the hearts of principled journalists there for a failure of their employers to diligently and with intrepid defend journalism principles of a fair, truthful, impartial and authentic news to their audience... But economic derivatives seem to have swayed journalistic tenets! Every time I visit any supermarket I am on lookout of Brookside products festooning our shelves but finds none and I keep pondering why.... Not hiked taxes because Ugandan Lato seems to weather the storms without a wince so we ought to expect Brookside to do just the same.. You know where I am going, don't you?

Will people's attitudes bend because the airwaves have been bombarded with pushing back assault on allegations of "do nothing" policy.. My crystal ball informs me actually efforts to upend early evaluations are likely to meet stiff opposition resulting into resentment, mistrust and solidification of previous held positions notwithstanding their credibility and authenticity. ..

In the original news, the Citizen TV was lamenting our virtually "do little" policy was undermining their efforts to subdue the deadly bug and they cited no face masks, no social distancing, no robust testing, no national imposed lockdown and took time to preview our porous borders and toyed with ideas of closing them down in case we abseil to become the East African coronavirus epicenter..... Just to keep themselves and their loved ones safe, of course!

Curiously, the Citizen TV for some peculiar reasons best known to themselves refused to reassure their viewers we have made progress to accommodate their previous serious worries.. Irresponsible journalism or are they under gun barrel by their own government to backsliding without any attempt of justification? I leave it to your fertile imagination but looks freedom of speech in Kenya too has some boundaries the fourth estate is grappling to breach...

My take

The best rowing back was not to assault early news but poking holes to it with citations of meaningful efforts to scale back coronavirus and let readers form own opinion rather than coercing them to abandon early held views...

I really like Kabwe but on this I am not with him because we have no lockdown even in designated places so recompense makes no sense

But we see eye to eye on... any coronavirus stimulus package ought to sooth economic pain of rank and file but not in salaried case as he proposed..

I consider government owned institutions like Tanesco and water authorities should cease collecting levies for six months for domestic consumption and the Republic should compensate them

Each metered user gets 300 units and 100 units from Tanesco and water utilities respectively wholly paid by the Republic as one time lumpsum which should ease the economic burden of the next three months as we near the peak of this inglorious pandemic.. A similar package should be in the pipeline once those three months are over just to make sure everybody is aided in recuperating stage as we are coming to terms with damaging effects of the deadly bug.. Don't forget forsaking annual payments and including everybody in national health insurance stats to ensure access to health services to all..

The last stimulus package under JK targeted underperforming companies and plugged the leaking financial holes of politically well connected mandarins but sadly neither the economy nor the populace felt any relief

So the whole JK stimulus caboodle was an abuse of public office.. We need not traverse this thorny terrain once again.. Yes, we should not!

Mr Politicians will jump into "we are not Kenyan colon" bandwagon whenever faced with a comparative argument but will not respond to the gist of the matter before him ..and for good reason :How can he prevail against the truth?

Kenyan medical will see a bump in their emoluments a gratitude of Coronavirus pandemic but here nobody cares about our indefatigable health care workers..

Our medicals may be silent but are very demoralized and very incapable of fighting off the pandemic so let us start by hiking their pay based on their demands during JK reign which are yet to be met so far or we ought not to expect different results. We are playing with fire.... And at wrong timing

Sabai is a serious interested party and an ally of whomever is defending and speculation of futuristic graft highly misplaced, troubling, confounding and misleading..

Sabai wants a piece of action lining his pockets must add.. He believes whomever he is defending will pay to play..

DC lacks appointments and disciplinary powers therefore cannot overrule transfer so Sabai is exercising powers which he does not have amounting to an abuse of public office

The appointer needs to get rid of him sooner than later because he is embarrassing his boss
