Why Magufuli administration misses the point on Government splurge

So regardless of what we think of it death ultimately is great

My circumspection leads me to believe the definitions of journalist and seditious offences remain problematic

News are constitutional rights and cannot be limited to an academic discipline

The media law seems to acknowledge that in curriculum vitae of the Director General

No mention of mass communication or journalistic disciplines as only qualifications

Public administration is also considered a pertinent qualification

Borrowing from this we expect the minister to concede in the impending regulations that journalism is specialization proof career

So a university graduate is a sufficient qualification to be a journalist

Failure to do so specialised disciplines will be muffled.

To enrich journalism we need doctors to shed light on health issues whereof training only in journalism cannot give us a really professional aspects

At CNN, they have Doctor Sanjay Gupta for a reason

If the regulations only define a journalist is the one with mass communications résumé then our own Sanjay Guptas will never be journalists denying constitutional rights of millions needing health freely available counsel will be muzzled

The quality of news and its editorial content at best will be left to locum in the name of journalist though unqualified to advice the general public on health issues

It seems the debate has never involved all of us

The debate is spurred by fears of regime change via mass education of civics education

There is one way to go

The rights to disseminate and receive news remain constitutional ones
