The magistrates court wrongfully dismissed his plea of exhumation defence and by doing so the late Reverend Mtikila found himself behind bars for a year
Suppose a second postmortem proved beyond reasonable doubt Kolimba was murdered then there was no way the magistrates court could have sustained criminal charges levelled by the office of the DPP
Mtikila blithely served his 12 month sentence and many believed he did so anticipating public sympathy may catapult his political career beyond stratospheric levels
So if the late Reverend Mtikila presidential bid wasn't frustrated by a one year criminal sentence why should Tundu Lissu presidential assault be encumbered by the Speaker decision to terminate his parliamentary right?
This issue is no starter and it was very unfortunate Tundu Lissu squandered the opportunity to deal perpendicularly with killer assumptions to his presidential bid
