Why Magufuli administration misses the point on Government splurge

TAKUKURU seems to be operating under certain directives from the ruling party orders to either decimate CDM or to tarnish its image in the public eye

We say so because CCM had carried out internal investigations over embezzlement of their kitty

It is in public gallery the CCM secretary general is on record the findings of that investigation are dire to the former leaders and were an eyesore

TAKUKURU saw and heard nothing because it isn't an independent institution it projects itself

It's hibernating until political orders from the executive are issued then you will see them falling over as if they are an appendage of the ruling party

We aren't oblivious that the TAKUKURU summit security of tenure is under the pleasure of the president

He can hire and fire according to his pleasure and incur no consequences

With our MPs now eager to bootlick the executive some just to eschew the wrath of the same executive in the CCM nomination process which are about to ensue

In a way, we are sympathetic with the TAKUKURU predicament

But given the billions of our taxes every year TAKUKURU gobbles

And knowing TAKUKURU is totally incapable to address political initiated official graft

Our recommendations include its desolation to release more funds for development budget

What is the use or profit to keep a corruption fighting body which only come out of its hibernation when the piper calls the tunes?

What is the use or profit to placate an institution whose setup condones official graft and is very handy to interfere negatively to our onus of electing our leaders?

Our development paradigm is very categorical

Poor leadership is behind our socioeconomic miseries

And poor leadership is an upshot of legal framework which is not only outdated and very much a colonial keepsake but also too much dependent on political parties dearth of democracy, transparency, flimsy participation and lack of accountability

So for the purposes of reengineering our collective missteps we need to peek at constitutional setup

Being members of EAC that recognition is missing in our constitution

We need to spell out we are member nation of the EAC bound by its policy, laws and aspirations
