WHY OUR POLITICIANS HAVE A "CRASH" WITH FAKE DOCTORATES?

From the day JK was anointed our president, a new political culture has taken centre-stage like no other in our short yet memorably post independence history.

What has stunned many politics watchers is the determination of our political class to acquire fake doctorates as if flaunting them will awestruck and bamboozle us to believe that they have keys to unlock our poverty jigsaw!

The reality is that the more the fake doctorates consume our political arena the less economic achievement we tend to secure! In fact our grapple with the causes and effects of poverty seem to elude us. We have a president and a cabinet which rarely shy away from admitting they do not know why this nation is poor despite claiming to own a bunch of fake doctorates! We have a former premier who cracked our ribs when he conceded that despite being an MP and a cabinet member for almost three decades he needed to go to Harvard to learn the causes and effects of our poverty! This is really a jaw-dropper. How can our politicians arraign poverty if they do not know its causes and effects?

The truth remains where there is no correlation, whatsoever, between fake doctorates with the betterment of our well-being we keep witnessing a proliferation of fake doctorates in our political space and the question we have to ask ourselves is how can we trust them?

If they are unashamed even to cheat themselves how can they restrain others living a lie which they have been esteeming it in private and in public life?

The truth that ought repeatedly being told is that behind the camouflage of academic achievements lie
a pernicious intent to mislead the led that the nation is in the steady hands while we all know that most of our leaders are merely a bunch of conmen keen to loot our treasury and pass on their bootleg to their children and their children's children..............

Everytime we applaud their ill-gotten wealth we are not only condoning but also we are perpetuating and abetting felonies against the people of this great nation.

A time is nigh that we begin questioning seriously this new parvenu why they have become so filthy rich after being in positions of immense power and prestige? Do we really need any other proof that they are behind our collective poverty and misery? Are we really jealousy when we query these national issues of profound importance to the survival of this nation we call home?

It's merely a change of seasons. Back in days we used to hear a lot about forged academic credentials i.e O' levels, A' levels and undergraduate degrees, modern times have come, everything now is "modernized" in a manner that no one needs a formal procedure to acquire something. Better this botheration could only be in fake doctorates, ours are morals in a state of affliction.

People(the elites) want to disrupt status quo with these doctorates, "mheshimiwa" or boss are no longer enough. Elites consider themselves more civilized and distinguished members of the society, so always creating their class specifications. Awe...this is a mishap behavior derived to become a character state.

We're morally worst today than yesterday. We used to talk much about fake academic credentials, I remember one senior government official once said if NECTA, NACTE and Universities(now put TCU) were to be allowed to conduct a thoroughly verification to all submitted personnel academic credentials in public and private offices then many will lose their pensions and run away if not confined. Now the problem is copious.

Generally it's a rotten society,,,corruption prevention officers dare be corrupted, youths do struggle to become smugglers, the legal system is corrupted, professionalism is a matter left in academic books, political posts have price tags, projects are purposely and forcefully inflated, tenders are in markets, albinos are killed and sold for money, no more family ties....more worse....days are gone where descent hard work was cherished and heroes were named from their national loyalty, it's completely opposite nowadays.

Not so long these felony minds will break-even and paralyze the nation. It's time we start compromising ourselves and our morals.

Reminds me of Georgian ANIMAL FARM........................"Where all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."

Inferiority complex is what our leaders suffer from!

Unanikumbusha wimbo wa Juliana featuring Bushoke......."Usiende mbali na mimi."..................."Wanataka mapinduzi wakati mapinduzi hawayawezi..........."

We have been talking about this for a while now. Is it a matter of pride or shame kupewa kitu? Nchi yetu ina tamaduni nyingi, so it depends on where u r from.

Very true Bongolander

Everything reflects back to our society, Tanzanian society, this is a society fond of titles. We always make considerations through titles and never scrutinize skills but certificates, and yes, people find the easiest way to sustain and maintain.

There is a book called "Suit, tie and a touch of juju". That books explains very well why our politicians are who they are.

Under normal circumstances a Ph.D holder is considered having the highest level of thinking capacity and problem solving. Contrary to our expectation, polical leaders here in Tanzania are running after Doctorate degrees, whether fake or not, to simply become categorized as the highest men and powerful leaders in the country.

We can all move forward in terms of development if only we can ignore the so called the honorary degrees offered to politicians without having gone through the formal process.

Let's aim high but start low.

The problem of using fake credentials is common all over the world, not only in Tanzania. The situation in Tanzania is culminated by the illiteracy rate of the population and the absence of stiff laws against the practice.
